Blue 1965 Mustang convertible equipped with power steering, power disc brakes, power top, front bench seat, styled steel wheels 5-speed manual transmission, and an A-code 289ci 4-barrel V8 engine. This is not a 1965 Ford Mustang production paint but looks great on this car. What is unique about this car is the front bench seats, most Mustangs were ordered with bucket seats.

The convertible top is black in color. The boot (snap on cover when the top is down) is colored to match the interior. In this case black, like the top. But the convertible top could be a different color.

This 1965 Mustang convertible has a front bench seat instead of bucket seats. It was a rare option in 1965.

Another shot of the front bench seat. Does anyone remember driving a car with one of these? The whole bench moves forward and backward when adjusted. This is a tricky feat when you have a passenger. You have to coordinate rocking back and forth to adjust the seat. If you don't, the seat doesn't move. I remember saying, "We are going to move forward. Ready. One, two, three, go." Then I'd rock forward, the passenger backward, then alternate - we'd go no where. Pretty funny, actually.

This car has what appears to be a 5-speed manual transmission. At least that is the shift pattern on the shifter knob.

This is a 225 horsepower 289ci 4-barrel V8 engine. It is the middle rated V8 of the three V8 engines offered in 1965.

Not much in the trunk except a sub-woofer can and sound system amp.

Caspian Blue 1965 Mustang convertible with a black interior and a white convertible top. From the factory, the convertible top cover (boot) is blue to match the interior. It is not colored to match the white convertible top. For a powertrain this Mustang has the 225hp 289ci V8 connected to a 4-speed manual transmission.
