Bright Red 1973 Mustang convertible from Dirk Howard from Gilbert, Arizona. It has the original 351ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting April 28, 2013. Dirk tells us, "It was a St. Louis MO rust bucket. I saw it restored on the internet for sale. Because it was kept stock, I had to buy it. It was a frame-off restore to fix a log of problems, mainly RUST. It has a 351C 2V engine, FMX transmission, Ram Air, 3.25:1 traction lock rear end, air conditioning, upgrades to disk brakes on front, slotted aluminum wheels, and stripes. The engine was overhauled and bored 030. The hood had factory flat black stripes. I decided to paint the stripes white. This car has been to several concourse shows and was never docked points for the hood being white. This Mustang has had it's picture taken with John Force, Miss Arizona, and even won a Chick Magnet award at a local car show. The Chick Magnet Award that was voted by a high school cheer leader squad. That is the most treasured award because they were not car buffs but people who really liked the car for what is is, a real good looking car!"
