Jalapena Red 1985 Mustang convertible owned by Jason Houston from Bakersfield, California. Jason tells us more, "This 1985 Mustang 5.0 LX convertible was destined for the crusher. I rescued it for $100 thinking it might yield some parts. Instead, 16 months later, it's now the flagship of my fleet."

This is what Jason Houston's 1985 Mustang convertible looked like when he got it. Jason says that it was a California car with no rust and an excellent body. The Mustang needed a complete body/interior restoration. It was repainted to this light blue. Originally a dark navy blue. The V6 was replaced with a later V8 engine. It runs but needs a fuel pump. It has an automatic transmission.

Dark Slate Metallic 1985 Mustang fastback owned by Wayne De Leeuw from Lancaster, California. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 23, 2014. Wayne shares, "The car was purchased new from Cal Worthington Ford. We have owned it ever since. As you can tell I am a stock nut and did a lot of research before deciding to restore her in full original configuration. I found out that only 29 hatchbacks where painted color code 4M in 1985 - add to that the limited production of 'T-roof' cars and I am certain this is a one of vehicle. Like Bonnie and Clyde thanked Ford for such an awesome vehicle, I will have to do the same. This vehicle has never left us dead anywhere. At times her gallop was not what it should have been but she always made it home. "
