Here are parts from two newspaper ads placed by Bubba Oustalet Ford of Jennings, Louisiana for the 1968 Dixie Special Mustang. What's interesting here is that one of the colors is specified as a light yellow special paint. We think there were several special colors used on the Dixie Mustang but we think all had the Dixie Special emblem. The first ad was placed on March 12th while the second on March 4th. The rest of the advertisement says nothing about the Dixie Special Mustang. The stock number in both of these ads may be wrong because a 1968 Torino in the full ad states the same Stock Number as this car.
Here is a close-up of what we believe is the Dixie Special emblem placed on each special model. We are unsure where they were placed but possibly on the dash or fender or rear roof column.

This is a Sunlit Gold 1968 Mustang Golden Nugget Special coupe. The Golden Nugget Mustangs came with the blackened hood louvers, black side C-stripes, and black interiors. They also came with a plaque on the dash with the owner's name. This one does not have the plaque.

Sunlit Gold was a standard color offering for the 1968 Mustang. The right side of this Gold Nugget Mustang looks as good as the left.
The interior is black.

This 1968 Mustang hardtop is painted Pebble Beige. It has disc brakes, power steering, air conditioning, the exterior decor option and the 289ci 2v engine with automatic transmission.

A very original looking Wimbledon White 1968 Mustang Shelby GT-350. Its a little beat up, missing its Lemans over-the-top stripes, front grille, and a backseat but otherwise its in amazing condition. I photographed this Shelby GT-350 at the 2011 Mustang Roundup car show held in Bellevue, Washington.
