2001 Bullitt Green Mustang GT Bullitt 2001 Bullitt Green Mustang GT Bullitt with a 270hp, 281 cubic inch, 4.6 liter, electronic fuel injected, single overhead cam, V8, special Bullitt engine. Ford had a Bullitt optioned 2001 Mustang which was based on the 1968 fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the detective movie Bullitt. Bullitt modifications included unique side scoops, 17-inch American Racing aluminum wheels, a lowered suspension, modified C-pillars, special quarter panel molding, rocker panel moldings, brushed aluminum fuel cap door, special Bullitt badging, polished-rolled tailpipe, and came in Dark Highland Green and True Blue and Black. The original 1968 Mustang fastback used in the movie was Dark Highland Green. The movie's director called for speeds of 75 to 80 mph, but the cars (including the ones containing the cameras) reached speeds of over 110 mph on surface streets. Filming of the chase scene took three weeks, resulting in 9 minutes and 42 seconds of film. During the chase scene, the Charger loses six hubcaps and has different ones missing at different times. The production company was denied permission to film on the Golden Gate Bridge.

Bullitt Engine 270hp, 305 lb-ft of torque, 281 cubic inch, 4.6 liter, electronic fuel injected, single overhead cam, V8 special Bullitt engine. This power system has cast aluminum intake manifold, optimized alternator and pump pulley ratios, and high flow mufflers for increased power and aggressive performance sound making it a few horsepower over the standard GT powerplant.
1968 Bullitt Movie Poster I own one of these 1968 Bullitt Movie Posters. The 2001 Mustang GT Bullitt was inspired by the 1968 Mustang fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the detective movie Bullitt. Bullitt is most-remembered for its central car chase scene through the streets of downtown San Francisco, one of the earliest and most influential car chase sequences in movie history. The movie's director called for speeds of 75 to 80 mph, but the cars (including the ones containing the cameras) reached speeds of over 110 mph on surface streets. Filming of the chase scene took three weeks, resulting in 9 minutes and 42 seconds of film.

Black 2001 Mustang GT Coupe Black 2001 Mustang GT coupe owned by Jesse Keogh from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jesse tell us about his ride, "I did my undergraduate in Las Vegas, and I came across it on-line when I was searching for my first muscle car. It was a very nice California car with little wear and 43K miles. It had to be Ford. I have slowly moved up the ranks from my first car an Escort LX, then a Probe GT, and now a Mustang GT! I have fallen in love with the stangs. My college budget is hard to work with but it's always a work in progress. I am going with a blacked out, sleeper look and eventually plan on adding a twin turbo kit with forged internals."
