The interior is tan and black. It has the Deluxe interior.

Check out this Seafoam Green 1968 Mustang hardtop. It was about to leave the 2010 Uftring Ford car show in East Peoria, Illinois. I quickly walked over and shot some photos. I had never seen this unusual color in person before. It is a very light shade of green.

Another action shot of this Seafoam Green 1968 Mustang hardtop.

The driver stopped to talk to someone - allowing me to get one last great shot.

Candy Apple Red 1968 Mustang Shelby GT-500 convertible with white stripes and a white convertible top. This one has the super cool 10-spoke Shelby wheels. These came stock with the car back in 1968! This car was on display at the 2010 Mustang and Ford car show at Uftring Ford in East Peoria, Illinois.

This GT-500 convertible looks good from this angle too.

This Cobra Emblem and GT-500 wording in the rocker stripes are found on the front fenders. I see my shoes!

The 1968 GT-500 had the 390, 427 or 428 engines. I don't know which this is.

Royal Maroon 1968 Mustang fastback with aftermarket wheels at the 2010 Mustang Roundup in Tampa, Florida.

This Highland Green 1968 Mustang Bullitt tribute fastback was at the 2010 Mustang Club of America Grand Nationals held in Bellevue, Washington.

Customized accents in the interior including the Bullitt badge off a newer Bullitt special model. I like the 6 shooter emblem next to the Bullitt lettering.

View of the customized 390ci V8 engine.

What makes this a Steve McQueen Bullitt movie tribute car? Deluxe leather wrapped Shelby steering wheel, 1965 Mustang driver's side mirror painted body color mounted low on door, rocker panels and side molding painted body color, American Racing 5 spoke wheels, chrome around tail lights painted black, antenna mounted on rear passenger quarter - broken off, running horse removed from gas cap and painted black, blacked out rear panel, reverse lights removed and holes filled in, GT hole for exhaust pipes covered over but not removed, 398ci V8 engine, and blacked out grille.

Passionate Pink 1968 Mustang hardtop which was part of the Color of the Month promotion when new. It was the February color - for Valentines Day. This one has a white interior and a white vinyl top.

Passionate Pink 1968 Color of the Month Mustang hardtop, left side view.

This car is bright! The wide white wall tires go well with the white top.

This is the 200ci 115hp in-line 6-cylinder engine. The engine is small. You can see the ground on both sides.

The interior is white. It has an aftermarket console. I bet that steering wheel is difficult to keep clean.

Here is a key Ford newspaper advertisement for the West 1968-69
Rainbow of Colors promotional sale which allowed new Mustang owners choices in "wild" special order colors as well as sporty upgrades. It is the earliest newspaper advertisement we have found, and it appears to be one created by Ford which allows participating dealers to add their name and address to the bottom. The advertisement doesn't give much information other than that there are 10 special colors, limited to 500 Mustangs, and only offered in the West. We think that due to the success of this promotion, some dealerships extended it beyond 500 Mustangs, included more than 10 colors, and extended the promotion into 1969. We found this advertisement in the February 14th, 1968 edition of the Ukiah Daily Journal of Ukiah, California.
