White 1978 Mustang II Hatchback Page 8 of the 1978 Ford Mustang promotional booklet shows a White Mustang II with T-Roof and white painted styled steel wheels. The text (shown on the next page) for this image reads: Styling that makes the sky your limit. Mustang II with T-Roof Convertible. It will suit you to a "T"! The optional "T-Roof," which was so well received when it was introduced last year, is again available on all 3-door models (including 2+2, Mach 1, Cobra II and King Cobra). Shown with optional Rallye Appearance Package and in White (Code 9D), the "T-Roof" has the advantages of a convertible, yet it still retains the advantages of a hardtop. It features twin glass panels with a wide vinyl-inserted "roof band." Smoke-tinted, tempered safety glass panels can be easily removed in a matter of seconds. Vinyl pouches are provided for convenient truck storage. The "T-Roof". It makes the sky your limit, the moon and stars your ceiling, and the sun drops by most every day, thanks to still yet another better idea from Ford.
1978 Ford Mustang Promotional Booklet Two Mustangs are shown on page 9 of the 1978 Ford Mustang promotional brochure. The first is a Bright Yellow Mach 1 with black lower Tu-tone paint and white styled steel wheels with trim rings. The second car is a Black Mustang II hatchback with Rallye Appearance Package. This car features dual gold color bodyside/hood stripes (pinstripes), black moldings, black door handles and locks, black antenna (when Ford radio is ordered), black wiper arms, black front spoiler, gold grille and gold-color taillights surround molding, black dual sport mirrors, dual gold accents on bumper rub strips, four white styled steel wheels with trim rings, and in this case white vinyl seats with gold-ribbed velour Touraine cloth inserts. Other interior features of this car are gold welting and gold-color door panel moldings and color-keyed carpeting. The Rallye Appearance Package can also be ordered with black interior trim. Part of the text for the Black Mustang II says: If you're a man of distinction, then this highly popular optional package is for you.

Gold Tan Interior 1978 Mustang II Hatchback The interior is in pretty good condition with 135,000 miles on the car (65,000 miles on the engine). The center console looks a little odd (too tall).

Tangerine 1978 Mustang II Hatchback Tangerine 1978 Mustang II hatchback with a 4-cylinder engine and a manual transmission. This one has cool factory T-Top roof glass. This was Ford's alternative to the elimination of the convertible body style.
