Light Gray Smoke 1989 Mustang GT with sunroof, gray leather seats, and 1991+ aftermarket Mustang GT wheels. This car needs a bit of paint touch-up, but it does show what the original smoke color looks like. The solid grille and aerodynamic side skirts was introduced to the Mustang GT in 1987 and continued through 1993, check out information on
all years of GT Mustangs.

1989 Light Gray Smoke Mustang GT, right side view. You can just begin to see the most significant visual exterior difference introduced in the 1989 Mustang GT, the cheese grater rear light covers which were on all Mustang GT's through 1993.

Here is a good look at the color matched cheese grater rear tail light covers. This rear spoiler was also only available on the GT hatchback. The GT convertible had no spoiler and the standard hatchback had a smaller wing type spoiler.

Almond 1989 Mustang LX hatchback with a tan interior and a 5.0 liter engine under the hood. This one is optioned with air conditioning, cruise control, power locks, power windows, and a cassette tape player!

Almond 1989 Mustang LX 5.0L hatchback, left rear view. It has a third brakelight in the spoiler. When you step on the brakes, you wind up with a triangle of red lights in the rear. This was suppose to wake up drivers behind the car to help them see that the car was slowing down. Did it help? Probably. Maybe a fourth one would be even better!

Around the rear is a dual exhaust setup. This was standard on the V8 engines.

Like many 89 Mustangs, this one has the upgraded 5.0 liter V8.

Tropical Yellow 1989 Mustang LX convertible with a black top and a tan interior. Tropical Yellow is a light yellow carried over from 1988. It was called Mimosa Yellow in 1988. These wheels are sometimes known as phone-dial wheels. Do you remember when phones had to be dialed?

Great looking Paris Blue 1989 ASC McLaren 2-seat convertible modified from a Mustang hardtop coupe. McLaren added a fully retractable roof, custom aerodynamic body panels, custom from grille, tinted tail lights, custom wheels, and a full custom interior.
