This Data Plate decal is located on the rear edge of the driver's side door. This Mustang II was built in June of 1975. The color of
6E is for the Bright Yellow paint.

Black 1975 Mustang II Special Paint Edition hatchback with a two-tone paint or wide side stripe, body side moldings, sport wheels, bumper guards, color matched mirrors, and just visible wood grained dash trim. The 1975 Special Paint Edition Mustang II was a midyear offering which may have lead to the Stallion option in 1976 which included many of the same options but Stallion decals; and the Tu-Tone option which added a black hood and roof.

Features of the Silver Luxury Group include the exterior Silver metallic paint, silver classic half vinyl roof, opera windows, moon-roof, body-contoured bucket seats in cranberry crushed velour, thick carpeting inside and in the trunk, instrument panel framed in burled walnut wood-tone trim, tachometer, quartz crystal clock, and standard Mustang II Ghia features.

In 1974, 386,000 Mustangs were sold making it the largest year since 1968; but even with all the hype of the new body style and Ghia luxury options, sales dropped to almost half (188,575) in 1975.

Page 8 and 9 show the standard and Mach 1 Mustang hatchback. The standard hatchback has sport wheels, rear bumper guards, and is in Medium Copper metallic exterior paint. The Mach 1 also has sport wheels and bumper guards but also has grille mounted fog lamps, body side molding, and black lower body paint with Bright Red on top. So little changed in the body styling between 1974 and 1975 that the same photos shown here where used in the
1974 Ford Mustang promotional booklet.
