Ginger 1973 Mach 1 Mustang Check out this Ginger 1973 Mach 1 Mustang. It is owned by David Fowler from Hendersonville, North Carolina. This one has it's factory 351ci 4-valve V8 engine and a manual transmission. David tells us, "I ordered this Mach 1 new. I have the original order form, window stickers, dealer invoice and receipts from purchase. I think it might be the highest option Mustang sold with 32 factory installed options and 8 dealer options - it has two window stickers! I took to one MCA Nationals in Atlanta in the 80's, took third, and they told me things were incorrect so I never went back. It has sat in the barn since then and gathering dust with 12,000 miles on the clock. Options include; Mustang Mach 1, trim rings and hub caps, dual racing mirrors, competition suspension, color keyed carpeting, all vinyl bucket seats, 351 4V engine, Tutone hood, Ginger 3/4 vinyl roof, Four-speed manual transmission with Hurst shifter, Traction-Lock differential, F70X14 wide oval BSW raised white letter Goodyear brand tires, rear deck spoiler, convenience group, power steering, tilt steering wheel, leather wrapped steering wheel, sport deck rear seat with space saver spare, console, power front disc brakes, front color keyed floor mats, air conditioner, electric rear window defroster, Stereosonic tape system, AM radio, interval windshield wipers, Mach 1 sports interior option, deluxe belts, tinted glass complete, power side windows, forged aluminum wheels, and rear bumper guards. I also added, Ram Air, front spoiler, door edge guards, locking spare tire, rear floor mats, mechanical advance dual point distributor, full undercoating and the last one slips from memory. I have 7 mustang convertibles, a 20th anniversary I bought new, and a 85 SVO. All in various stages of needing repair. I also own 3 of the extremely rare Towne Top removable hardtops for 1964 1/2 - 1968 Mustang convertibles. No this car is not for sale, I am a hoarder, LOL. Many have tried to buy but it will be my son's one day. He has actually never rode in the car. The shiny picture is just before I pulled it into the barn. The dirty ones while in the barn. It's not been washed in 33 years."

1973 Mach-1 Ad This is an magazine advertisement for the 1973 Mach-1 Mustang. Not sure what the tennis guy is suppose to mean. The car has a set of Forged Aluminum wheels with white wall tires. The ad starts off, "What makes Mustang different is the way it looks, handles, and makes you feel."

1973 Mustang Ad They were certainly pushing sports. In this 1973 magazine ad, a golfer is shown behind the car. The ad says, "What makes Mustang different is the way it looks, handles, and makes you feel." The ad shows a green Mustang Grande with a white vinyl top. It tells us there are three reasons why the Mustang has been the top selling car since 1965; good looks, good handling, and great feeling.
