Turbo GT 1983
1983 was the first of 3 years for the GT Turbo which combines the efficiency of a 2.3L engine with the responsiveness of electronic fuel injection and the on-demand power of turbocharging. The cost was an additional $230 over the GT option and included special Turbo GT badges and higher fuel economy.

Turbo GT 1984
The 1984 Turbo GT was an option on the 1983 through 1985 Mustang GT which offered a turbocharged 2.3L 4-cylinder engine, fuel injection, and GT Turbo fender badges. The engine was rate a 145 horsepower and can be identified as a W-code on the door data tag, the stock 2.3L 4-cylinder engine is designated by an A-code.

Turbo GT 1985
1985 was the last year of the Turbo GT special package which combines a turbocharger to the 2.3L 4-cylinder base engine, fuel injection, and a GT Turbo fender badge. The option package was $230 more than the GT and not many were built over the 3 year run.
