(from page 10 of the 1966 Collection) "Best of Show", at least that's how we voted for this almost all original Springtime Yellow 1966 Millionth Edition Mustang fastback at the 2010 Port Angeles Washington Mustang car show. This car is owned by Jack and Pat Davis of Oregon and was our Attitude Of The Week for the week of May 9th, 2010. Most of this car is original including its amazing Springtime Yellow exterior paint. The few items replaced are seat covers, carpet, driver side door panel, trunk mat, and radiator.

(from page 15 of the 1967 Collection) Aspen Gold 1967 Mustang GT High Country Special fastback owned by Randy! This is awesome. It's our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 1, 2012. Randy tells us more, "This 67 HCS GT fastback when delivered with it's options made it a 1 of 1 (Marti report). The only fastback GT HCS with a standard 3 speed transmission and Aspen Gold. Now it enjoys a late model AOD [Automatic Over Drive], AC, power steering, and power front disk brakes. Its not a race horse but a nice weekend driver - never restored but maintained, but with a 3:55 rear end gear and 70 mph it still gets close to 19 mpg!!!!!."

(from page 22 of the 1968 Collection) This is a special order yellow, 1968, Mustang GT is one of the Rainbow of Colors promotional Mustangs from California. It is owned by Reiny van Uden from Volkel, The Netherlands, and is our Attitude Of The Week for the week of July 15th, 2012. The yellow of the Rainbow of Colors promotion went by many names in advertisements including Dandelion Yellow, Yummy Yellow and Razzle-Dazzel Yellow. Many of the promotional cars were Sprint optioned hardtops. This is more rare since it is a GT fastback. See the previous photos in this set to see how it looked before Reiny changed out the wheels and had the C-stripe put back on.

(from page 16 of the 1969 Collection) Special Order Yellow 1969 Mustang Mach 1 fastback with a 360hp (at 5400rpm), 428 cubic inch, 4 barrel, Super Cobra Jet, V8 engine. This restored car is one of the 10 special paint cars ordered by Russ Davis Ford, Covina California for a special promotion. We are hunting through the newspapers of the time to determine what the promotion was. It could have been a 1969 carry-over of the "Rainbow of Colors" West Coast Promotion, or a "Gas Ronda" special promotion. The Rainbow of Colors promotion offered new Mustang owners one of up to 13 special "Rainbow of Colors." This car has been repainted Ford Special Paint WT6135, which a a little more orange than what we believe is the original Yellow in this group of 13 colors. But WT6135 is a period Ford special order paint! This combined with some newspaper articles of the time says that funny car racer Gas Ronda was heavily sponsored by Russ Davis in 1969 and Gas Ronda drove a modified bright "orangey reddish" Mustang Mach 1. It is possible that the 10 special colored 1969 Mach 1 Mustangs ordered by Russ Davis was for a Race Car or Gas Ronda promotion. In this case a brighter yellow car may have been necessary, making the current color possibly very close to the original. What did the other 9 Mach 1 Mustangs ordered by Russ Davis look like? well here is one.
