(from page 17 of the 1978 Collection) This amazing custom 1978 Calypso Coral orange 1978 Mustang II King Cobra II was at the 2010 Mustang Round-up car show in Bellevue, Washington. This car has 1987 Mustang turbine style wheels.

(from page 17 of the 1978 Collection) View of the custom V8 engine of which I would guess is a 351ci. Hopefully the owner can give us more information on this amazing car. Originally the 1978 King Cobra came with the F-code, 302ci (5.0 liter), 2-barrel, V8 engine.

(from page 19 of the 1978 Collection) Magazine ad featuring a Tangerine 1978 Mustang II with a T-top roof. The ad is titled, "All work and no Mustang sounds like a pretty dull life style." They are advertising a sticker price reduction from 1977 models. The ad goes on to say, "Lose yourself in the sporty spirit of the '78 Ford Mustang II... base sticker priced less than last year. Let this wide-open T-roof convertible take you away from an ordinary day. Or maybe you'd prefer the elegant Ghia or the 3-door Hatchback."

(from page 7 of the 1979 Collection) Photo of a Tangerine orange 1979 Mustang hatchback with Cobra graphics. It has a bright white interior. It's actually two-tone, orange over black. Check out the yellow pinstripe on the vinyl body molding which circles the entire car. In 1980 the Mustang Cobra was redesigned to have a 3 slot grille with integrated front spoiler, rear facing non-functional hood scoop, and rear spoiler.

(from page 7 of the 1979 Collection) Page 4 and 5 of the 1979 Ford Mustang promotional booklet shows a Tangerine orange Mustang hatchback with the new 390mm (15.35 inch) forged metric aluminum wheels. On the far right is a Polar White 2-door coupe under a white Mustang horse; the graphic warning module showing low fuel, washer fluid level, headlamp low beam, rear running lamp and brake lamp failure; and the standard 2.3 liter, overhead cam, 4 cylinder engine.

(from page 2 of the 1980 Collection) A time capsule, this Bright Caramel 1980 Mustang coupe has just over 2000 miles on it. Options on this car include a white vinyl carriage roof that was factory made to look like a convertible with its top up and wire wheel covers. Mustang had not offered a convertible since 1973, so this carriage roof option was offered. It has the base level 140ci, 2.3L, 2-bbl, 4-cylinder engine.
