(from page 13 of the 1971 Collection) This dataplate (or ID tag) is located on the rear edge of the drivers side door. It contains information about the car as it left the factory. It's important to keep this decal during the restoration of the car. I've seen reproduction tags - which worry me. I'd rather see the original tag. This one has a V paint code for Light Pewter. Orange wasn't even available on the 1971 Mustang.

Ron says, The car was purchased in 1993 as a #5 basket case it is now a #1 show car restored by me, to Mustang Club of America concours driven status. It has the following options: Ram-air, C-6 automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, front and rear spoilers, convenience group, Mach 1 sports interior, full gauges including tachometer, AM/8-track, console, rear window defrost, sport deck rear seat, interior decor group, rear bumper guards and Magnum 500's.

This car has been repainted, Grabber Orange was not a color offered in 1973. The black vinyl roof really matches the black striped hood, black front air dam, and black rear spoiler.

They are advertising a sticker price reduction from 1977 models. The ad goes on to say, "Lose yourself in the sporty spirit of the '78 Ford Mustang II... base sticker priced less than last year. Let this wide-open T-roof convertible take you away from an ordinary day. Or maybe you'd prefer the elegant Ghia or the 3-door Hatchback."
