(from page 3 of the 1965 Collection) Here are some additional shots of John's Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT hardtop from the previous owner. The GT has the extra yellow driving lights in the front grille. Under the hood is the big 225hp V8 engine.

(from page 3 of the 1965 Collection) You can see the rear window defroster real well in this shot. As far as I can tell, this was not an option in 1965. The rear window defogger (a blower unit) was a new option on the Mustang in 1968. The rear window defroster (heated wire units) was introduced as an option on the Mustang in 1971.

(from page 3 of the 1965 Collection) This is a numbers matching 289ci 255hp V8 engine. It has aftermarket intake, carb, heads, and valve covers.

(from page 3 of the 1965 Collection) This car has the optional Rally Pac gauges on the steering column. It has a tach on the left side and a clock on the right.

(from page 9 of the 1965 Collection) Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT convertible owned by Kerry Sturgeon from Tijeras, New Mexico. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting June 26, 2011. Kerry lists the options; 289ci 4v 275hp 'A' code V8 engine (rebuilt), GT rocker panel stripes, GT grille-mounted fog lamps , GT dual chrome exhaust, trumpet exhaust tips thru rear valance, left-hand (driver-side) remote mirror, right-hand (passenger-side) mirror, 5-dial instrument dash, Rally-Pac instrumentation (clock and tach pods), Deluxe steering, wheel (wood), push button radio and antenna, Pony interior, electric top, factory air, center console, and Styled Steel wheels (V8).

(from page 9 of the 1965 Collection) Part of the GT option are the rocker stripes and GT fender badge behind the front wheel.

(from page 10 of the 1965 Collection) The trunk has a plaid floor mat, bag, and a full size spare on a matching rim.

(from page 12 of the 1965 Collection) Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT fastback owned by Paul Sewell from Wilmington, Delaware. It has the A-code 289ci V8 4-barrel engine and a manual transmission. Paul wonders, "Built at Metuchen, NJ plant on 5/28/65. Could this be one of the first of the GTs? IT was built one month after they started offering the GT package."

(from page 12 of the 1965 Collection) Left rear view of Paul's, Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT fastback. Awesome.

(from page 15 of the 1965 Collection) Caspian Blue Mustang GT convertible owned by Eddie Anderson from Mobile, Alabama. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 3, 2013. It is a factory GT with a 289ci 4v engine. It has a bench seat. Eddie is the third owner. The car has a bit over 26,000 miles on the clock and has had only one repaint. The Ragoon Red 1965 Mustang hardtop is Eddie's as well.

(from page 15 of the 1965 Collection) Another shot of Eddie's two 1965 Mustangs.

(from page 26 of the 1965 Collection) This restored and modified Twilight Turquoise 1965 Mustang GT convertible was our Attitude Of The Week for August 3rd, 2008. It has the GT rocker panel painted stripes (the other GT option was metal rocker panel trim), fog lamps, and the high performance 289 cubic inch, 4 barrel, V8 engine originally rated at 271hp (at 6000rpm).
