(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Here is a close-up of the Boss 302 lettering on the unique Boss stripe. The Boss 302 came with the 302ci engine.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Here is a close-up of the shaker hood scoop. The rain drops look cool on it. Why is it a "shaker"? Because, when the engine is running this hood scoop shakes because it is connected to the air cleaner of the engine, it's not connected to the hood.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Lots of flat black paint - on the rear window louvers, top part of the trunk lid, rear spoiler, and rear taillight panel.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) This is a 1:18 scale, Ertl, die-cast metal, model of a Grabber Blue 1970 Mustang Sidewinder special Mustang. This promotion should not be confused with the 1970 Twister Special. David Charlier has collected a lot of information on this special along with photos and information on many of the roughly 40 built. Coming in any color, most striking feature of this car is the rear fender Sidewinder graphic of a snake with wheels.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Rear right view of a Grabber Blue 1970 Sidewinder special Mustang, 1:18th scale, Ertl, die-cast model. In this view you can really see the Sidewinder's rear fender graphic.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) The rear shot of this die-cast 1970 Sidewinder Special Mustang is quite detailed. The Mustang lettering are decals or paint and the tri-bar pony gas cap has a red and blue stripe. The Nebraska license plate is explained by Sidewinder expert, David Charlier, as the order district (DSO) of this special.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Again, the rear fender Sidewinder graphic is shown in this photo of an Ertl die-cast model of a Grabber Blue 1970 Sidewinder Special Mustang.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Left side view of a Grabber Blue 1970 Sidewinder Special Mustang die-cast model by Ertl.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) The red, white, and blue tri-bar pony emblem is quite detailed on this 1:18 scale, die-cast, Ertl, Grabber Blue 1970 Mustang model.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Here is a nice straight down view of the 1:18 scale, die-cast model.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) The inside of this model is detailed showing a full center console, automatic transmission, wood grain dash trim, leather wrapped steering wheel. The front seats fold down and slide forward.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Close-up of the dash shows detailed speedometer and tachometer, as well as an AM/FM radio, red Mustang center steering wheel medallion, and pony floor mats.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Here I've folded down the driver's seat to show the rear seats. The metal seat belt clips are even on this model.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) There is a spare tire and jack in the trunk. The Sidewinder fender graphic is also visible here.

(from page 32 of the 1970 Collection) Here is a nice close-up of the Sidewinder fender graphic. For being a quarter of an inch long on this model, it's pretty detailed.

(from page 33 of the 1970 Collection) The H-code, 351 cubic inch, Ram Air, V8 engine on this 1:18 scale model is also very detailed.

(from page 33 of the 1970 Collection) Nice shot of a diecast, grabber blue, 1970 Sidewinder Mustang model with an H-code, 351ci, ram air, V8 engine.

(from page 33 of the 1970 Collection) Here is the underside of the 1:18 scale, diecast model.

(from page 33 of the 1970 Collection) Check out this Grabber Orange 1970 Mach 1 Mustang fastback at the 2010, Port Angeles, Washington, Mustang car show.

(from page 33 of the 1970 Collection) Rear left view of a Grabber Orange 1970 Mustang Mach 1 fastback with rear window sport slats (louvers), flat black rear decklid spoiler, and honeycomb tail light panel.
