(from page 20 of the 1967 Collection) Close-up of the 1967 Shelby GT500 grille and emblem.

(from page 22 of the 1967 Collection) Black 1967 Mustang hardtop owned by Jeremy Bumpus from Middleton, Tennessee. Jeremy shares, "Started as a 6 cylinder no option car. It was in bad shape and had been rear ended. I decided it was a good project to modify. It sits on air ride suspension, Mustang II front end, back halved on a 2-link and panhard bar in the rear, new quarters. I shaved the drip rails, door handles, locks, quarter vents, trunk lock, antenna, gas cap. Filler worked and primed and blocked until laser straight. Chrome was taken down and color matched, PPG black, PPG clear. It has a 302 with e303 cam, roller rockers, forged pistons, T5 trans, Ford Explorer rear end narrowed 3", disk brakes all the way around, 18 and 20" rims, new original style interior, custom console, and the trunk is leather paneled."

(from page 22 of the 1967 Collection) Low and Black.

(from page 22 of the 1967 Collection) Black 1967 Mustang hardtop, left rear view. Just a bit of bright on the wheels, bumpers, and light surrounds.

(from page 28 of the 1967 Collection) This 1967 Mustang Shelby GT-500 was used in the 2005 release of the "Dukes of Hazzard" movie. This car was driven by the bad guy, Billy Prickett (played by James Roday), during the grand finale Hazzard rally road race. This car is really a regular Mustang cloned into a Shelby for the movie.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Another shot of "The Hogg" 1967 Shelby race car. The numbers "23" have been moved forward because there was a picture of "Boss Hogg" (played by Bert Reynolds) on the door. Check out the NASCAR style wheels. For the movie the headlights and taillights were covered with aluminum plates.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Rear end view of the "Boss Hogg" Shelby race car.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Here are the taillight and headlight cover plates used in the movie. They are sitting in the trunk.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Under the hood is a 302ci V8 engine.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Just the racing basics in here. Check out the water bottle holder in the center console. Two pedals. One for go. One for stop.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) No rear seat. Just roll cage.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Here's some shots from the movie. The top two are Billy Prickett driving "The Hogg". The lower one is of the cars parked waiting for another movie shoot. The shelby is getting some work done to the front end. In this shot the Boss Hogg sticker is on the doors. So, how was the "Dukes of Hazzard" 2005 movie? I liked it. I have the DVD.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Here is the "Dukes of Hazzard", 2005 movie car at the 2010 Mustang Roundup car show in Bellevue, Washington. It is a 1967 Mustang fastback cloned into a GT500. Look back to the first photo of this car in California to see the dirt on the side 23 is the same, movie prop magic.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Front view showing the hood scoop, hood pins, and front fog lamp plates.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) Here is a photo I took of the basic interior. The dash is a bit washed out, the steering wheel is off, there are metal door panels, and a center console drink holder. The earlier picture of this interior from California shows the open radio dash hole being used as a bottled water holder.

(from page 29 of the 1967 Collection) This view shows the front seats, no back seats though. There is a battery in the back seat.

(from page 33 of the 1967 Collection) This Mustang flips its top over you You're looking at 3,000 pounds of pure delight. Deep-foam bucket seats that adjust individually. All-vinyl trim. Full carpeting. A sweet, saving 200-cu. in. Six. Fully synchronized 3-speed manual (downshifts under way without gear clash). An easy-handling top that's up or down in a jiffy and hidden away...

(from page 7 of the 1968 Collection) This amazing 1968 white vinyl top Mustang owned by Mal Hillier of Melbourne, Australia, has all the codes and special order color to be a Spanish Gold 1968 Rainbow of Colors West Coast promotional Mustang and was our Attitude of the Week for April 26th, 2009. It was built in San Jose, ordered in Los Angeles, under a special order with special paint WT3822. Mal writes: My Mustang was imported in to Australia from Los Angeles as a running car and I purchased it from an importer. I knew little about Mustangs and the hobby grew from there. The body and Paint have been refurbished and the color has been professionally matched to the original color in the trunk. Body was rust free fortunately. The Mustang was in very good original condition when purchased and I drove it home, I have done most of the mechanicals and put it all together my self, I also have the original owners manual and is a matching numbers car. But most of all, I love driving it. Spanish Gold shares the same paint code as Black Hills Gold used in January 1968 for the Color of the Month Mustang promotion. The Color of the Month promotion offered a special ordered color and sport options for each of the first 4 months of 1968. Black Hills Gold was offered in January for the New Years; Passionate Pink in February for Valentines day; Emerald Green in March for Saint Patrick's Day, and Eastertime Coral for April. Follow this link to see all Color of the Month promotional Mustangs on this site.

(from page 8 of the 1968 Collection) The door tag on Mal's Mustang reads: 65B hardtop body style, blank special order color, 6U parchment bucket seats, 23B scheduled for assembly on the 23rd of February, 1968, 71 ordered in the Los Angeles area, under special order 0781, 2 2.79:1 rear axle ratio, and W automatic transmission.
