(from page 12 of the 2011 Collection) This is a Ford promotional preview photo of the 2011 Mustang Boss 302R. The "R" stands for racing, since the car is not street legal. The 302R is limited to 50 units and is considered a Ford racing option available for $79K. Some of the features include the 2011 Mustang 302ci GT engine rated at 412hp, a seam-welded body, roll cage, safety harness, data acquisition system, race suspension, special tires, and side stripes. It was designed to honor the 40th anniversary of Parnelli Jones' 1970 Trans-Am championship (the GM, Pontiac, Trans Am was named after this racing series with much controversy at the time).

(from page 12 of the 2011 Collection) Just like the Cobra Jet, the 2011 Boss 302 is based off the V6 bodyline to allow many of the options to be purchased by owners of street legal Mustangs from the Ford Performance Parts catalog.

(from page 12 of the 2011 Collection) This photo shows the black rear spoiler and flat black lower trunk panel which also has a racing latch/pin system.

(from page 9 of the 2012 Collection) Here is the 2012 Competition Orange Mustang Boss 302 when I first saw it along side a red one in the background and a white and another orange one on the other side. In this photo, the color almost seems red; but next the the red, it certainly is orange.

(from page 9 of the 2012 Collection) Left side view of a Competition Orange 2012 Boss 302 Mustang coupe. Now you can really see the orange in the paint. Competition Orange is a variant of the original Poppy Red used on the first Mustang.

(from page 9 of the 2012 Collection) In this view you can see better the the Boss 302 standard rear spoiler.

(from page 9 of the 2012 Collection) Close-up of the Boss 19 inch black-painted wheels. Those are Brembo brakes.
