This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 24, 2011. It has it's original 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Mark tells us more, "I purchased this Mustang convertible GT in 2009. It was imported into Australia from North Carolina in 2006 by the person I purchased it from. The car has been restored to a very high level. It is an A code 4V motor with air conditioning, power steering, front disc brakes, power roof and rally pack. It is a beautiful car to drive and the color combination between the exterior and interior catches a lot of attention. The car won a sponsors award at the 2010 Australian Mustang Nationals in Adelaide and has been featured in Australian Mustang and Ford magazine."

Dave tells us more, "I purchased it about 6 months ago from a private owner. It has 50,000 miles and is rust free. It is almost completely original. I have the original window sticker and a Marti report." The Marti report lists the following options: interval windshield wipers, 3.08 Traction-Lok rear axle, 5-speed manual transmission, P220/55R-390 TRX black sidewall tires, tilt leather wrapped steering wheel, speed control, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioner, AM/FM cassette stereo radio, heavy duty battery, power windows, and TRX aluminum wheels.

He says that it just made Historical Registration in New York.

It was sold at the 2005 Barrett Jackson Auction held in Scottsdale, Arizona for $10,450. It has the 302ci V8 engine, 5-speed manual transmission, air conditioning, power windows, and power door locks. Only 90 Twister IIs were built in 1985. 14 of them were convertibles! This one does not have the GT black striped hood or 5.0L emblems on the front fenders. The car is unrestored and original.

Dan says, "This is the last year of this body style before they went to the rounded composite headlamps and modular dash. It is also the first year of fuel injection for the Fox bodied Mustang GT. I bought this beautiful hard to find 1986 Mustang GT convertible around 9-10 years ago. I found it in Chicago for sale. I flew out one way and drove it home top down. This has been a fantastic car ever since. Here are some of the things that have been done to the car; brand new Jegs black powder coated water pump, lower radiator hose replaced, new Ford fuel filter, painted factory color and charcoal trim, replaced white interior, replaced dark red carpeting, replaced convertible top, replaced exhaust from the headers back, new Borg Warner 'World Class' T-5 manual transmission, short throw shifter, heavy duty clutch, alternator, battery, white glossy Cobra R 5-star rims, Hankook & Kumo wide profile tires, aftermarket stereo. $125 worth of manuals & books, and a heavy duty car cover"

It's the closest I have ever come to driving a car from 1994 that feels like a new one."
