The double-page center of the 1972 Ford Mustang Promotional booklet features the Mach 1, Sports Interior option. It says, Do it up with a very sporty touch. This interior is designed exclusively for Mach 1 and SportsRoof models with any of the three V-8 engine choices. It includes: High Back Bucket Seats with knitted vinyl inserts and accent stripes, molded door trim panels with integral pull handles and armrests, bright floor pedal pads, color accented carpet runners, a deluxe instrument panel with black and woodtone appliques, Instrumentation Group with tachometer, trip odometer and triple pod oil pressure / water temperature / ammeter gauges, and a rear seat ash tray.
