(from page 2 of the 1974 Collection) This Mustang advertisement shows the newly styled Mach-1 Mustang II in a desert in front of some rocky hills. It says, "The new Ford Mustang II." It's a two page ad. This is page 1.

(from page 2 of the 1974 Collection) Page two of the Mustang II ad says, "It just may be the best news from Detroit in 9 1/2 years." It says that the Mach-1 is just as revolutionary as the first 1964 Mustang. Foremost, this mustang is smaller than last year. It's even a bit smaller than the 1964 Mustang!

(from page 2 of the 1974 Collection) Check out this Bright Red 1974 Mustang II Mach 1 hatchback. It is owned by Mark Masten from Seaford, Delaware. Mark is the original owner who ordered it with all the factory options except the anti-theft system and automatic transmission.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) Bright Red 1974 Mustang II Mach-1 hatchback with a white interior. This one has the upgraded 105hp 6-cylinder engine. The bottom part of the car has black paint. It's hard to see in this shot, but there is a Mach-1 decal behind the front wheel in the black painted area.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) This shot shows the Mach-1 decal behind the front wheel better. The front and rear bumpers are also painted in the two-tone red over black paint.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) This is the upgraded engine option. It's a 105hp 6-cylinder engine. The air conditioning compressor is missing.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) The interior is white with a black dash and carpet. Check out the little horse on the center of the door panel.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) Here is a shot looking in through the hatchback door. This is one clean 1974 Mustang II.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) The dash seems bare, but it has five full gauges. From left to right they are; tach, speedometer, fuel level, alternator, and coolant temperature. The climate controls are way over on the left side - this is so that your passenger cannot mess with the controls.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) Here is a close-up of the big tach and speedometer gauges. The engine is running and the car is moving at about 30mph !?!

(from page 6 of the 1974 Collection) Here is the cardboard cut-out at full size. Print this on heavy paper or attach it to heavier paper before cutting it out. Save the image to your harddrive or click here to remove all the borders for printing. The original card was designed to snap out the car along perforations, you'll have to use a scissors. Its a little hard to tell, but the only white tab on the left and right side of the car is on the bottom (make sure you cut out the inside the the wheels next to this tab so that when the tab is folded, the wheels don't fold with it). Tab C is attached to the hood, Tab B is attached to the front window, and Tab A is connected to the rear window/hatch not the side windows. Cut along the inside of each of the tires to separate them from the bottom tab which is folded back. Also make sure you cut far enough up the side of the rear window, along the roof, to allow the rear window to fit properly. The bottom side of the front license plate also needs to be cut out. Pre-bend along each dotted line before gluing. Refer to Figure 1 shown in the top right. Glue the car together in stages, allowing the glue to dry between. We also have a 2011 Paper Mustang.

(from page 6 of the 1974 Collection) Here are all the 1974 Mustang II Mach-1 paper cars printed out and assembled on my desk at work.

(from page 10 of the 1976 Collection) Bright Red (Vermilion) 1976 Mustang II Mach 1 hatchback with black lower body paint, dual remote color keyed mirrors, styled steel wheel with trim rings, 2.8 liter V6 engine, and manual transmission. Options for the Mach 1 include the 5.0L V8 engine, competition suspension, and Rallye package. This photo is in the 1976 Ford Mustang promotional booklet.

(from page 5 of the 1978 Collection) Red Fire 1978 Mustang II hatchback owned by Lisa Trent from Industry, Pennsylvania. It has the 302ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Lisa tells us more, "I fell in love with this car in 1975 when my neighbor purchased a 1974 coupe. At a local car cruise one night, one pulled in and it was for sale. Well, as the story goes, my husband and I bought it. It needed a lot of work! My little Plain Jane 2+2 4-cylinder, 4-speed red Mustang turned into a hot powerful V-8 smoking Cobra. It gets a lot of attention wherever we go. People are always asking if my husband paints for a living, and I say 'No, just little red Mustangs that need resurrected!' We drive my little darling every chance we get. After 42 years, I have the car of my dreams"
