Medium Copper 1973 Mustang hardtop owned by Kevin Leach from Philadelphia, Tennessee. This was taken the day Kevin purchased it! It still has it's original 351 Cleveland 2V V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Kevin tells us,
"I purchased this from a man in Sweetwater Tennessee on January 30th, 2015. I don't know much about these Mustangs but was bitten as soon as I seen her parked there. She is that I can tell all stock, but
I'd really appreciate any info I can get on this specific model. She has 66,000 miles on her and started and drove well. The chromed front grille emblem and headlight trim was inside the car. She is missing a front right frontal trim piece where the fender is dented. She is almost completely rust free which leads me to believe that she was garage kept for many years prior to her being kept outside. I hope to slowly restore her a bit at a time as monies permit, keeping it stock. Maybe. There are so many upgrades that also seem like nice 'additions'."

The driver's side fender is in primer. Might have been replaced. The hood is from a Mach 1. The full vinyl top appears to be in great shape. Those wheels may be original, as they were one of the offerings in 1973 on the Mustang.

The hood is open to show us the original H-code 351ci V8 engine. It was rated at 177 horsepower.

They were certainly pushing sports. In this 1973 magazine ad, a golfer is shown behind the car. The ad says,
"What makes Mustang different is the way it looks, handles, and makes you feel." The ad shows a green Mustang Grande with a white vinyl top. It tells us there are three reasons why the Mustang has been the top selling car since 1965; good looks, good handling, and great feeling.
