Stallion package contains a blacked out grille, grille moldings, window moldings, wiper arms, lower bumpers, and lower body panels; deleted grille Pony emblem; bright lower-body side moldings; Stallion decals; and styled steel wheels. Aaron adds, "'Living the Dream.' She has a 5.0L 302 2v 8cyl engine and she runs sweet as a nut! I have never drove anything like it, makes me feel a GOD of the road! I picked this off eBay propa cheap in the summer of 2010. I have'nt a clue about the history of it but she came to England in 1994 and I'm the 4th and last owner... ha! As far as I have'nt found anything wrong with her mechanically. She came with came with a full years M.O.T. [Ministry of Transport test?]. The only down side of her is a few parts of the bodywork and the paint job she's had in the past is pretty poor! - But I can't complain... I have a Stang!"

Raise your hand if you've ever seen one of these? I don't see any hands... It's a 1976 Mustang II with the
Monroe Handler body kit. The car is being restored by Ricky Shuler. The Handler body kit consists of 8 pieces of fiberglass. It came out in mid 1977 and fit any of the fastback Mustang IIs (74-78). The body it was used to promote the Monroe Handler series street performance shock absorbers.

White 1976 Mustang Cobra II hatchback, left side view. There is a V8 emblem on the front fender, just ahead of the wheel opening. After posting a couple of these to the site, I'm starting to notice them on the road. I saw a similar one with orange stripes yesterday parked in front of a paint and body shop one town over.

You had your choice of three engine in 1976. Each could be had with the Cobra II option. This is the 5.0L 302ci V8. You could also get a 6-cylinder or a 4-cylinder engine.

This 1976 Cobra II has a blue interior and a floor-shifted manual transmission. That is a snake shifter knob. Check out a better view in the next shot.

Check out the cobra shift knob. I wonder if the eyes light up at night? This one has an 8-track tape player. They called them 8-tracks because there were 4 stereo track sets on a continuous loop of tape. The tape deck could sense when it reached the splice in the tape and would switch to the next pair of tracks. You could also manually switch to another track pair. It was real annoying when the tracks would switch mid song.

This data sticker is found on the rear edge of the driver's side door. It shows that the Cobra II was built in May 1976. It's color was 9D for white. The trim G is for the Picardy cloth and Corinthian vinyl seats while the B is the blue color. The trans 6 is for the 4-speed manual transmission. The Axle 6 is for the 3.00 rear. The ordering district is 55 for St. Louis.

Here is the body tag for this 1976 Mustang Cobra II hatchback. It has the last digits of the VIN 227090 The F is for the Dearborn, Michigan assembly plant. 69F is the hatchback body style. Not sure about the 020. The 9D is the white paint. Not sure about the rest. I see a V8 in there - I bet that is the engine.

The VIN tag is located on the dash and can be seen through the front window.
