Wimbledon White 1964 Mustang convertible owned by Charles Stoddard from Page, Arizona. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting November 3, 2013. It has the original 260ci V8 and an automatic transmission. Charles purchased this car way back in 1975. He just completed an 8 year restoration.

Poppy Red 1964 Mustang convertible owned by Gene Walinski from Simi Valley, California. This is our featured
Attitude Of The Week for the week starting June 26, 2016. It was originally Poppy Red and still has it's original 260ci engine. Gene had this story to share,
"I bought this Mustang in 1978 for $400 with around 38000 miles on it. She had an 'Earl Sheib' $19.95 chalky red paint job with spray painted stripes along the hood and body-side contours and a street car bell mounted under the car below the driver's seat. It had been outdoors for years. With my sister and I both taking classes on body, paint and upholstery, as well as my father having a repair shop, we managed to paint it back to its original color, sew new upholstery, and replace the top in about two years. It was beautiful and remained completely stock for the next 35 years except for a four row radiator, front disc brakes and a set of '68 GT500KR wheels. Eventually, in 1998, it got a new paint job (free) from a body shop I had been referring work to, got some new tires and the wheels polished (also for free) from a local tire and wheel shop where we had wheel and tire
packages installed on new Mercedes and Volvos from the dealership where I
worked. A couple of years ago, I decided to make a 'tribute' car or 'tribute' to Carol Shelby at which time, my wife deemed it the Wanna-be, resulting in the GT 1AB stripe and license plate. (won-a-b). I added stripes, tribar headlamps, engine dress up kit and a 'euro Brace' and Monte Carlo bar under the hood. It's never been wrecked, lives in then garage and hasn't been washed in two years or so. I think it's one of the best looking color combinations ever made and people everywhere I go say so too. Still
has the original 260 V8 2bbl and the generator and will be going strong for many years to come!"

Silver Smoke Gray 1965 Mustang convertible owned by Rob Eckenrode from Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week photo for the week starting November 1, 2009. Rob shares, "This vehicle was ordered by my wife's grandmother specifically to match the school color where they lived. It has the original dealer installed factory AC. It has recently been restored to original condition and won best of show in its first show this month. I have yet to find another 65 with this color combination and was told it is rare, but since Marty reports don's go back to 65 I do not know how many were made."

Ivy Green 1965 Mustang convertible owned by HÃ¥kan Palm from Sweden. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting January 3rd, 2010. This is also our 10,000th photo posted to the site. HÃ¥kan purchased the car on 06-06-06. It has the original 289ci V8 under the hood.

Caspian Blue Mustang GT convertible owned by Eddie Anderson from Mobile, Alabama. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 3, 2013. It is a factory GT with a 289ci 4v engine. It has a bench seat. Eddie is the third owner. The car has a bit over 26,000 miles on the clock and has had only one repaint. The Ragoon Red 1965 Mustang hardtop is Eddie's as well.

Ivy Green 1965 Mustang GT convertible owned by Steve from Colchester, Vermont. This is our featured
Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 22, 2015. This GT has its original 289ci 4V V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Steve tells us more,
"I bought the car in December 2013 from a muscle car dealer in Illinois. The car had been consigned from an owner in California. Many records came with the car which was produced originally in San Jose. The records show two long term owners in Northern California (San Jose area) but I haven't yet been able to trace owners from the 60s and 70s. The car was in need of some restoration and so far I have installed new convertible top, new carpet, new electrical harnesses in engine bay and under dash. The seats only required some cleanup, but I did replace the foam. The car came with Magnums which were wrong for 1965 so I replaced those with 14-inch styled steel wheels and new dual red line radial tires from Coker. The paint was great - only required some polishing and waxing. The undercarriage was restored before I bought the car and is very clean. The Mustang is a true GT and drives great! The top is even powered. It's a keeper."

Attitude Of The Week for August 3rd, 2008. It has the GT rocker panel painted stripes (the other GT option was metal rocker panel trim), fog lamps, and the high performance 289 cubic inch, 4 barrel, V8 engine originally rated at 271hp (at 6000rpm).

Check out this Rangoon Red 1965 Mustang convertible with a 289ci V8 in an amazing location. It is owned by Robert Hernandez and is our Attitude Of The Week starting September 8th, 2019. Robert says,
My dad had a 1964 1/2 coupe when I was growing up and when my dad passed this past December, I wanted to find a first gen mustang. I had seen this Mustang on Offerup with horrible pictures so I decided to take a look. The car was in good condition, running, new paint, all new chrome, it just needed a tuneup and some love. it had been sitting in a warehouse for 25 years... I have me dream car that reminds of my dad every time I drive her. Check out the other amazing photos in this set.

Springtime Yellow 1965 Mustang convertible owned by Rick Scott from Clinton, Connecticut. This is our featured
Attitude Of The Week for the week starting October 28, 2019. This Mustang has the in-line 6 engine and an automatic transmission. Rick tells us more,
"My Mustang was purchased in 2016 from the daughter of the original owner. The original owner purchased her on July 6, 1965 from a Ford dealership in Amsterdam, NY (Parsons Inc. of Amsterdam). It remained the family car for many years. After all four daughters grew up and moved out of the house, Robert Snyder (original owner) kept her on the road and would drive her from time to time. After Mr. Snyder passed away in March 2015, his youngest daughter decided to pass the car along to someone else. Now, I am just the second owner to enjoy this amazing Mustang. She came to me all original. The engine was over hauled but all original. I replaced the interior, carpeting and convertible top. What is on her is exactly how she was purchased - several production options and dealership options. She also has her original AM radio... and it still works."

"Aunt Myrna, if you ever want to sell your Mustang, let us know." This is what Allan and Nancy Eisentraut told their aunt Myrna of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. Myrna bought the car new in 1966, drove it for years, then stored it in her garage for 16 years, untouched. Finally, one day in 1986, Allan and Nancy, got a call from Myrna. She wanted to sell them the car. Allan went there with his mechanic son. They pulled the Mustang out of the garage with the tires sliding on the ground. They were froze up with rust. After pounding the rust off the wheels to get them to turn; then taking the spark plugs out, pouring oil into the spark plug holes; and pouring gas into the carburetor, the Mustang started up - surprisingly, even with the old battery. It was quite rusty and a body man told them not to wait too long to have it taken car of. Within a year, the car had been repainted. Everything is still original on the car, right down to the plaid carpet in the trunk. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week picture for 8-26-07.

Manville Smith just purchased this Wimbledon White 1966 Mustang convertible (April 20th, 2009) with only 40K on the odometer. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting 5-24-09. Manville tells us more, "It is very original and highly optioned. The paint is original and the body/frame is straight and rust-free. The car was originally a Ford company car ('Transportation Services' DSO) and it still has the Ford Employee parking decal on the rear window. Original items include the C-code 289 V8, C4 automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes (rare on a non-GT), 2-speed wipers, luggage rack, 'Visibility Group' (remote controlled door mirror, day/night mirror), power convertible top, styled steel wheels, Ivy Gold and White Pony interior (all original) with console, AM Radio (works perfectly), wheel arch moldings, and rocker panel moldings. Non-original items are the air conditioning and the dual exhaust."

It has it's original 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Mark tells us more, "I purchased this Mustang convertible GT in 2009. It was imported into Australia from North Carolina in 2006 by the person I purchased it from. The car has been restored to a very high level. It is an A code 4V motor with air conditioning, power steering, front disc brakes, power roof and rally pack. It is a beautiful car to drive and the color combination between the exterior and interior catches a lot of attention. The car won a sponsors award at the 2010 Australian Mustang Nationals in Adelaide and has been featured in Australian Mustang and Ford magazine."

Check out this Ivy Green 1966 Mustang GT-350 convertible owned by Al Shott from Seattle, Washington. Hey! We saw this car at the 2011 Mustang Roundup show in Bellevue, Washington last month! The matching dog carrier was there, but we didn't see the dog - Mustang Bonny. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 14, 2001. Al tells us more, "We have had the car four years now. It was fairly complete when we got it. Converted it to GT-350 specs, had it lowered all around with Curry rear traction bars, and added fiberglass hood, front, and rear with ducktail spoiler. The interior is now all leather with green piping and seatbelts. The engine was rebuilt to Hi-Po specs and C4 with a shift kit."

Sauterne Gold 1967 Mustang convertible owned by Denis Lépine from Montréal, Québec, Canada, Besides wearing its factory color, this Mustang has its original inline 6-cylinder 200ci 120hp engine. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting April 10, 2011. Denis tells us more, "I bought the car in 1995. It was a rusted basket like all eastern Canada cars (dso B2). I took the time to restore it myself. Originally it was a 5 option car; power top, power steering, console, AM radio, and deluxe seatbelts. I add the following options; power brakes, tilt away, convenience control panel, headrest, exterior decor group, luggage rack, clock, AM/FM radio, right mirror, vanity mirror, hood/trunk/glove box and ashtray lights, open light reminder, remote trunk, chrome sill plate extensions, wire style hubcaps, wheel opening moldings, and I add fogs lights because I like the look."
