(from page 7 of the 1964 Collection) Poppy Red 1964 Mustang convertible owned by Gene Walinski from Simi Valley, California. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting June 26, 2016. It was originally Poppy Red and still has it's original 260ci engine. Gene had this story to share, "I bought this Mustang in 1978 for $400 with around 38000 miles on it. She had an 'Earl Sheib' $19.95 chalky red paint job with spray painted stripes along the hood and body-side contours and a street car bell mounted under the car below the driver's seat. It had been outdoors for years. With my sister and I both taking classes on body, paint and upholstery, as well as my father having a repair shop, we managed to paint it back to its original color, sew new upholstery, and replace the top in about two years. It was beautiful and remained completely stock for the next 35 years except for a four row radiator, front disc brakes and a set of '68 GT500KR wheels. Eventually, in 1998, it got a new paint job (free) from a body shop I had been referring work to, got some new tires and the wheels polished (also for free) from a local tire and wheel shop where we had wheel and tire packages installed on new Mercedes and Volvos from the dealership where I worked. A couple of years ago, I decided to make a 'tribute' car or 'tribute' to Carol Shelby at which time, my wife deemed it the Wanna-be, resulting in the GT 1AB stripe and license plate. (won-a-b). I added stripes, tribar headlamps, engine dress up kit and a 'euro Brace' and Monte Carlo bar under the hood. It's never been wrecked, lives in then garage and hasn't been washed in two years or so. I think it's one of the best looking color combinations ever made and people everywhere I go say so too. Still has the original 260 V8 2bbl and the generator and will be going strong for many years to come!"

It has a 289ci V8 engine, power steering, power top, floor-shift automatic transmission with console, disc brakes, pony interior, and new styled steel wheels.

(from page 26 of the 1965 Collection) Check out this Rangoon Red 1965 Mustang convertible with a 289ci V8 in an amazing location. It is owned by Robert Hernandez and is our Attitude Of The Week starting September 8th, 2019. Robert says, My dad had a 1964 1/2 coupe when I was growing up and when my dad passed this past December, I wanted to find a first gen mustang. I had seen this Mustang on Offerup with horrible pictures so I decided to take a look. The car was in good condition, running, new paint, all new chrome, it just needed a tuneup and some love. it had been sitting in a warehouse for 25 years... I have me dream car that reminds of my dad every time I drive her. Check out the other amazing photos in this set.

(from page 1 of the 1966 Collection) "Aunt Myrna, if you ever want to sell your Mustang, let us know." This is what Allan and Nancy Eisentraut told their aunt Myrna of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. Myrna bought the car new in 1966, drove it for years, then stored it in her garage for 16 years, untouched. Finally, one day in 1986, Allan and Nancy, got a call from Myrna. She wanted to sell them the car. Allan went there with his mechanic son. They pulled the Mustang out of the garage with the tires sliding on the ground. They were froze up with rust. After pounding the rust off the wheels to get them to turn; then taking the spark plugs out, pouring oil into the spark plug holes; and pouring gas into the carburetor, the Mustang started up - surprisingly, even with the old battery. It was quite rusty and a body man told them not to wait too long to have it taken car of. Within a year, the car had been repainted. Everything is still original on the car, right down to the plaid carpet in the trunk. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week picture for 8-26-07.

(from page 16 of the 1966 Collection) Vintage Burgundy 1966 Mustang GT convertible owned by Mark Wieszyk from Adelaide, South Australia. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 24, 2011. It has it's original 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Mark tells us more, "I purchased this Mustang convertible GT in 2009. It was imported into Australia from North Carolina in 2006 by the person I purchased it from. The car has been restored to a very high level. It is an A code 4V motor with air conditioning, power steering, front disc brakes, power roof and rally pack. It is a beautiful car to drive and the color combination between the exterior and interior catches a lot of attention. The car won a sponsors award at the 2010 Australian Mustang Nationals in Adelaide and has been featured in Australian Mustang and Ford magazine."

Stuart tells us, "I bought it four years ago in Gilbert, Arizona. It has been a work in progress and now 100% restored. It has power steering/brakes, electronic ignition, under dash R-134 A/C, and original 200 cubic inch 6 cylinder with automatic transmission. Not a Daily driver. Taken to car shows and cruises only."

It has it's original 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. The automatic gives it this one year only special GTA model designation. Pat won this Mustang in a raffle back in 2005.

(from page 40 of the 1967 Collection) Here is a super rare Mustang. Only one built! It's a Candyapple Red 1967 Shelby GT-500 convertible. It's owned by Samantha and Brian Styles from Delray Beach, Florida. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 1, 2015. It has a 428ci V8 "Interceptor" engine and an automatic transmission. Shelby had intended to offer the GT350 and GT500 in all three body styles - six in all. Brian adds, "We just gained access to the Ford Special Orders (DSOs) and they confirm that Shelby American even went so far as to create "package" codes for each type of car. The convertible was package code "413C", meaning a GT500, Auto, AC, Smog, Convertible Body. Carroll claimed the convertible as his own personal car. About 4 months later, the car was needed for a new task. It was used to bolt on the A.O. Smith built '68 styled fiberglass designed by Ford. It was essentially disguised as a '68 for the purpose of taking photos -- a lot of photos. A couple Shelby employees referred to the car in the stage as a "68 styling proto," though there was actually nothing prototype about it. (from page 18 of the 1968 Collection) This is a Flower Power Red 1968 Rainbow Of Colors Mustang convertible. It is owned by Don Croft. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting January 30, 2011. The Rainbow Of Colors promotion ran on the west coast on 1968 and 1969 Mustangs. They featured special paint offerings in all colors of the rainbow. This one was sold new at Highland Park Motors Inc. in Los Angeles, California. Don tells us, "I bought it back in 2004, and was told by the previous owner it was 'Grabber Orange'. I knew at the time this wasn't correct as Grabber Orange was a '69 color, and bit lighter than the shade of my Mustang. I had wondered since about the correct color, until last year when I stumbled onto your website, which encouraged me to run the Marty Report..." Besides the special order paint, the Marty Report listed the following options: 289-2V Engine, Parchment Power Top w/ Glass Backlite, C-4 Cruise-O-Matic Transmission, F70X14 Wide Oval Tires, White Sidewall Nylon Tires, Air Conditioner - Selectaire, AM/8-Track Stereo Radio, and Tinted Glass

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting April 26, 2015. Hannes adds, "This is one of the very few 1968 California Special convertibles; it's in condition 2 (which is also quite rare to find). I bought it for my son Fritz - it will be his first vehicle."

(from page 17 of the 1970 Collection) Red 1970 Mustang convertible owned by Charles Donaghy from England. It has it's original 351ci V8 and an automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting May 30, 2016. This is a right-hand-drive Mustang! Charles tells us more, "I inherited this car from my Father in Law in 2003. He bought it brand new in 1970 from Godfrey Davis which was a Ford dealer in London. I believe it to be an original right hand drive built for export but have been unable to confirm this yet. I have a build tag which has lettering on it which says its a special build option car. My car does not appear to be a Rudspeed conversion so I would like to how it became a right hand drive. Was it built as a right hand drive for the UK market?"

(from page 3 of the 1973 Collection) Bright Red 1973 Mustang convertible from Dirk Howard from Gilbert, Arizona. It has the original 351ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting April 28, 2013. Dirk tells us, "It was a St. Louis MO rust bucket. I saw it restored on the internet for sale. Because it was kept stock, I had to buy it. It was a frame-off restore to fix a log of problems, mainly RUST. It has a 351C 2V engine, FMX transmission, Ram Air, 3.25:1 traction lock rear end, air conditioning, upgrades to disk brakes on front, slotted aluminum wheels, and stripes. The engine was overhauled and bored 030. The hood had factory flat black stripes. I decided to paint the stripes white. This car has been to several concourse shows and was never docked points for the hood being white. This Mustang has had it's picture taken with John Force, Miss Arizona, and even won a Chick Magnet award at a local car show. The Chick Magnet Award that was voted by a high school cheer leader squad. That is the most treasured award because they were not car buffs but people who really liked the car for what is is, a real good looking car!"

(from page 7 of the 1973 Collection) This Bright Red 1973 Mustang Cobra Jet was the Attitude Of The Week for 10-14-2007. This car's appearance has been modified, originally it was green with a tan interior, now factory Bright Red with a black interior although it does have its original Cobra Jet 248 hp (at 5400 rpm), 351 cubic inch, 4 barrel V8 engine.

(from page 4 of the 1983 Collection) Check out this red 1983 Mustang GLX convertible owned by Jeff from Canada. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting January 22, 2012. It has a 5.0L engine and an automatic transmission. The color is Vermilion Red from 1994. Jeff adds, "I am the second owner. It has 83000 kilometers on it. I purchased the car from a man who had a company car and this was his summer car. His daughter was turning 16 and he was worried about her driving it, so he sold the car to me. These pictures were taken along the Niagara River about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls."

(from page 7 of the 1983 Collection) Red 1983 Mustang GLX convertible owned by Robert Hernandez from Miami, Florida. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting March 12, 2018. Robert tells us more, "I purchased this 1983 Mustang convertible with a 5.0 engine with 69,000 original miles. The interesting thing about it, that it has a 4 speed not 5 speed. The car is all original with matching numbers and it is in excellent condition. I purchased it a year ago from someone who garaged it. When researching the history, the car was purchased in 83 but never registered until 1990s. I'm trying to find out how rare if any, this car is for having a T4."

(from page 3 of the 1985 Collection) Jalepeno Red 1985 Mustang GT convertible owned by Izzy Cobovic from Staten Island, New York. It has a 302ci HO engine and a manual transmission. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting March 27, 2011. Izzy has owned this Mustang for 18 years. He says that it just made Historical Registration in New York.

Cody tells us, "My first car I've ever gotten. It's such a fun car to take out on a nice cruise down the coast and to take it anywhere it wants to go."

(from page 2 of the 1992 Collection) Vibrant Red 1992 Mustang convertible owned by Raymond Owens from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 21, 2016. It has the big 5.0L V8 engine. Raymond says that it is stock except for Cobra R hood and Cobra taillight lens.

(from page 10 of the 1994 Collection) This Rio Red 1994 SVT Cobra Indianapolis Pace Car convertible is our Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 5th, 2012. Offered only in Rio Red this SVT Cobra has its standard SVT Cobra 240hp 5.0L V8, awesome Chrome 17" wheels, and Indianapolis 500 graphics. I photographed this car a few years back but didn't get a chance until now to post it.
