This is our featured, Attitude Of The Week for the week starting March 25, 2012. Ken tells us, "We have had the Mustang for over 13 years and purchased from Ross Donley who races Mustangs in Australia. We had a 1979 coupe over 30 years ago and decided to buy a later model. The motor was upgraded to a 93 Cobra R, Gold track racing diff, computer system, special made wheels, Celini bonnet, after market taillights, rear wing, 5-speed manual Hurst shifter etc. My son and I bought a 1970 convertible. We have been members for 13 years of MOCA Mustang Owners Club NSW Australia. I write articles in our club magazine 'Pony Express'. We have around 700 members in our club in NSW."

Kevin tells us, "I bought the car from a local used car dealer on 7/3/99 with 48,511 miles. It just turned 56K. I tracked down the original owner here in R.I. and he gave me everything he had left except the SALEEN Jacket and Helmet that came with the car. The car came from Snipes Motor Co.in N.C.and I believe it was Chuck Snipes' Personal Demo and Track Car. Being a demo does not allow the company to sell it as new. The car came with a 'Approved For Daylight Use Only' Inspection Sticker which leads me to believe that the headlights were removed possibly to vent more air to the intake or possibly a supercharger. I have the sticker as well as the Saleen Autosport Production Work Order with 'to JBA for modification' which I believe was for the Factory installed Roll Bar and Frame connectors. Since coming to R.I. the original motor was modified with GT40 aluminum intake and heads (NOT EXPLORER) and converted to mass air as well as various other upgrade mods."

Because we had just combined four children we could not afford it. In 2005 I started looking for this particular optioned car. After five years looking nation wide I FOUND ONE 15 miles from home. The car needed very little restoration and was given to Linda for Christmas 2010. Restoration was completed in 2011."

It has a 302ci V8 and a manual transmission. Mark had this to share, "This is the only Regatta Medium Blue Metallic Blue Saleen Mustang convertible made. The number is 706 and is in the Saleen Registry. We special ordered the Mustang in June 88 through Damerow Ford in Beaverton Oregon and I picked her up at Saleen Autosports in Anaheim Hills that September 88. We were told it was the last car off the Saleen line at the time and were pretty upset when we found out otherwise, but that is another story."

Josh tells us, "I bought the car about two years ago locally off craigslist. It was repainted, the original body kit wasn't installed, and in very poor condition. The original Flofit interior was destroyed. It had no heatercore. The valvecovers leaked like crazy right on the factory headers. The wheels were spray painted black. BUT it did have all the correct Saleen pieces to restore. The car was all stock save a set of mufflers and a Centerforce clutch. A year long build consisted of a full interior restoration (seats ,headliner, doorpanels, dash) Exterior wet sand and buff. Restoration of the original 16x7 and 16x8 ARE basketweave wheels (30hrs labor alone). The car is #399 of 708 made in 1988 and 1 of 5 made in the red/beige/gold combination. Possibly a 1 of 1 considering the stripe delete option."

Karl says, "I purchased it 4 years ago from the original owner after a long search. It has 30,000 miles on it. It was a rust free clean car. It needed interior and a new top. I have stripped all moldings and repainted the car to the factory color - clear coat and wet sand. Only reason for new paint was tiny scratches and dents in the original finish. It has an 81 GT hood scoop and a featured convertible deck lid spoiler wing."

Nathan had this story to share, "My Dad factory ordered his 1989 Mustang GT hatchback in the fall of 1988. It was the car I grew up in and I still want a mustang just like it. In 1996 my Brother was born and we traded it in for an Explorer. After going to a car show in 2004, we became very interested in finding out what happened to it. We did a VIN search, but we never managed to track down the last owner until 2010. He said a semi came over on it and it had been sold to the local junkyard. The yard owner didn't remember it and said he had crushed thousands of cars recently. We went there and found several wrecked Mustangs but couldn't find his."

Johnny tells us, "I was lucky to see this car for the first time in a friend of mine's garage after work one day. He told me he'd never sell it. Well, he lost his job shortly after and allowed me to buy it. It;s a 1990 LX 5.0 25th Anniversary convertible. The car never seen a drop of weather till this year. My friend got it from an old lady who only drove it on nice days and kept it garaged. He got the car and put it in his garage under a cover. He had it for 5 years and only put 35-50 miles on it the whole time he owned it. It now has 107,000 original well-taken-care-of miles on the OD. The top had only been down twice till I got it. Now its been down 4-5 times. Everything on the car is original and complete. This 2 owner (well I make 3 owner) car still looks like she did the day she was built. I'll only be changing cosmetic items on the car to keep her a 100% clean and original. I currently have a new set of headers and a new set of rims to put on it. Probably only putting on an exhaust and a Bama tuner chip in. Other than that, she's stayin the way she is. If i want to add mods to a Mustang, I'll buy another one. This will be my collector piece. Proud to own this car"

This came up and I instantly remembered my '88 and had to have it! It had 127kms (about 70 miles) on it. I did complete fluid change and now drive it every weekend!

This is a limited edition "Feature" car or "Summer Special. These cars had the exclusive Vibrant Red paint with special body colored mirrors, colored door top moldings, colored rear quarter panel moldings,and windshield trim. They also had rear decklid spoilers and special white 5-spoke wheels. It has a 5.0L engine and an automatic transmission. Richard tells us more, "My Brother got it factory made in 1992. He was a big wig at Sun Kiss and they gave him a personal vehicle so his Mustang was mostly parked in his garage. He moved to Las Vegas and had a stroke so I went and picked it up brought it back to my home. It has less then 68,000 miles on it. It is in excellent condition and gets great gas mileage. The only problem with it is the driver's door handle like most 92 Mustangs."

It has the 5.0L V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Brett shares, "This 92 Ford Mustang GT came to our stable after spending a little time being abused as it was in the hands of a 17 year old student. That was five years ago. Since then, the ol' girl has received quite a few upgrades both internally and externally. Inside, the 92 has virtually remained stock, with the exception of an aftermarket stereo system. Under the hood is a Cold Air Kit with aftermarket Short Tube Headers that exit through Flowmaster 40 Series Mufflers. As for the body, the 92 has changed shoes to 5-Lug Chrome 2003 Cobras, a 4-inch Cowl Hood and LX Style Tail Lights. Our Love for Fox Bodies has grown so much that three years ago we started a foundation called 'Save A Fox Foundation' on Facebook. We currently have over 1600 members."

Ray comments, "Only 344 Silver (color code YN) 5.0 LX hatchbacks were built, so it's fairly rare. I've had people ask me what the original color of my car was before I had it painted silver. It has every factory available option, with the exception of automatic (and who would want a 5.0 LX with an auto?) Options include: gray leather, sunroof, CD player, power seat, rear defrost, P/W, P/L, cruise, etc. The odometer reads 03980.1 miles. When I bought it I couldn't afford both the payment and the insurance since I was 20 years old. I parked it covered up in my Dad's garage for the winter. I drove it to Charlotte for the 30th in the Spring of '94. I drove it a little that summer and parked it again."

It was a factory LX 5.0 5-speed. I pulled the motor put in a 5.0 bored .40 with 5-speed, 3.73 gear ratio, converted to 5-lug, and full length headers. I bought a black widow hood along with the GTS full body kit. I painted the car bright metallic purple along with custom made Boss decals. The car has really came along way. I'm proud with the turn out and would like to show it off."

Rich tells us, "I bought it new from Yocum Ford in Lansdale Pennsylvania September 20, 1992. I race and show it and it serves as my daily driver in nice weather. The original bottom end has 207,000 miles on it. Originally equipped with an automatic transmission, I converted it to a 5-speed manual transmission in 2004. The car's best time at the dragstrip is 12.7 seconds at 105 mph. My GT does not have a power adder but has had several modifications. They are all listed on my website www.NASTY93.com."

This paint color was only available on the Feature Edition in 1993. Mike tells us more, "I purchased this 1993 Canary Yellow Mustang LX 5.0 convertible Feature car from the original owner in 2014. The car is completely stock and had only 26,000 miles when purchased. The car has been garaged its entire life. Mileage averaged just over 1,300 miles per year from 1993 to 2006 when the car only had 18,000 miles. Averaged 1,000 miles per year from 2007 to 2014. "

Tyler tells us, "I had been searching for an un-modified, well-maintained, 5.0 fox body Mustang for years throughout my college years. As college ended and I had no luck finding one that was not chopped up, I began to give up hope. I knew what I wanted; a fox body that was true to the time period, and there were hard to come by in my area. While I continued to love cars, I also continued to search more aggressively years later. I put the word out about what I was looking for and a family friend gave me a call, saying that he knew where one was for sale that represented exactly what I was looking for. I went and saw the car and bought it on the spot. The car was in mint condition, with 16,000 original miles, still with ORIGINAL PAINT, factory plastic under the floormats, and everything else ALL ORIGINAL! I have babied the car since, won some awards, and stored it meticulously, only driving it to car shows and cruising around the neighborhood to keep the mileage low. Recently, at a car show in my area, a man approached me and said he swore he knew the car. He alleged that he spent a lot of time around it and told me to wait for a minute. He came back with the original owner who first purchased the car in 1993! It was absolutely incredible. The car has been a dream, it has brought along some great stories, some awards, and a lot of fond memories. It was certainly a happy ending for me and she still sits all original to this day!"

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting January 9, 2011. Ludwig tells us more, "I bought the car in 2007. The car was lowered with Steeda springs. It also came with Bilstein Shocks and struts. The tires are Sumitomo 315-35/17s in rear and 245-40/17s in the front which is an awesome hoof print. I've added sub frame connectors and a strut brace as well. The engine is stock other than a cold air and an aftermarket intake. We autocross and road race it on a regular bases. The paint is from the 1969 Trans Am Mustang driven by Parnelli Jones & George Follmer. Mine is dedicated to George - just cause Parnelli gets all the praise but it takes a team to win."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting June 15, 2014. Mont shares his story about getting his Mustang, "So I was on my way to the bank to get 2k for a nice bike a guy from work was selling. I drove past this dealer that had cars out on the lot. One said 1500. I did a U-turn to see what the was the catch - it was a Dodge Intrepid and the catch was money down payments later. I asked what you have for sale for 2k and they pointed out 3 different cars - and then I saw her. A 94 Red Mustang. Mind you, I saw it on the lot and was like - yea prob can't afford it. I came back the next day with someone that new how to drive a stick and drove off the lot with it, 2k even. Did it need work? Heck yeah it did. I restored all the parts under the hood, bought tires and rims. Then I forgot to put the E-brake on it. I know = newbie move. I came back outside and it was sitting under a tree. I was not so happy. The bumper, headlights, side panel, grille, and hood had to be replaced and pulled out. After getting all that fixed, I burned out my clutch - still being a newbie and not shifting right. I got that fixed and then months go by and I get Flow Masters and K&N. I'm loving the sound and getting tickets. I get them payed them off and get more! 4 back to back. Months go by now - the primer paint, not the new parts, are starting to peel. I wasn't getting it painted until all the other parts are restored. Finally I get it painted Berry Wine. It's so amazing now. Everyone tells me how great it looks and that it looks brand new off the lot. I'm very happy to be a Mustang owner. I will stay a Mustang owner for years to come. That's my story on how it became the best choice I made in a while. I never went back to the guy selling the bike, but come on what would you do?"

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 31, 2014. Walt tells us more, "This was my son's car but he bought an 04 Mach 1 and parked the 94 GT. I got a deal from him and have been modding it ever since. He used to deliver pizza and Mexican food in it but it was pretty pristine when I got it. I have turned it into a Roush 360 Series Tribute car. I have installed the Roush front splitters and wing. I have the rear and side exit exhaust to go. It has a full Eibach Pro Kit suspension, MM subframes & adjustable LCAs, Magnapacks & BBK off road midpipe, staggered 17" DD Bullitts with 315/275 Sumitomos, Koni Sport Yellows adjustable rear shocks Steeda TriAx, Steeda CC plates, Bullitt/ Mach 1 13" brakes, Baer drilled & slotted rotors, new black reflector headlights Cobra style, and 3:55 Ford Racing Gears. Love this car and get so many kudos and even trophies at shows! A Coyote Swap in the future but now just a 95 Cobra intake and E303 cam, 65mm cobra throttle body, BBK CAI, and AFR 165 heads in the near future.."
