(1 photo of a 1980 Silver Mustang Hatchback) Silver 1980 Mustang fastback owned by Scott Kelley from Hamilton, Ohio. It has the two-tone black over silver paint. Scott tells us, "I bought it from the estate of the original owner. It has a 200 inline 6 with an automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and A/C that still works and has R12 Freon in it. I've only had it about two weeks. It's not perfect, but is a very nice survivor car. My plans are to clean it up and do some minor repairs and then resell it. It's a great running car and I'm sure it will make someone very happy."

(1 photo of a 1981 Blue Mustang Cobra Optioned Hatchback) Blue 1981 Mustang Cobra hatchback owned by Andre Lepine from Louiseville, Quebec, Canada. Andre tells us, "I bought the Cobra in 2009. The Cobra's original color was white with a red interior. When I bought it, it was blue with the red interior. I completed a full restoration of the Cobra with my Dad. Now it's blue with a black interior. Original options: T-Top, power brakes, power steering, original 255 cid, auto transmission, and power windows. From the Marti report, I learned this Cobra stayed for a full year on the dealer Mont-Royal Ford's parking lot before it was sold (Feb. 1981 to Feb. 1982)."

(1 photo of a 1981 Bright Red Mustang Coupe) Check out this Bright Red 1981 Mustang notchback. It's owned by Because You Can Motorsports. The owner tells us, "Long story short... She was stored in 1994 by the original owner. We found her in March of 2012. In July 2012 we began work. This is the original paint sprayed in September 1980. We finished her in September 2012. Animals made quick work of the interior even though she was in a garage. We were able to build this car with extra parts we had laying around the shop and a lot of work. Originally being a 4 cylinder we used a 1991 drop top as a donor for all the steering and suspension (except the springs). She was also converted to 5 lug. The engine is a 302 bored .030 over with a Bcam with built e7s, and every bolt on part we could throw at it. Shes for sale. We're asking 5000 obo. If you have any questions feel free to email us."

It's painted in a custom blend of Sikkens course metallic silver paint with course metallic charcoal gray stripes. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for February 10th, 2008. Barbara tells us more, "This car was completely stripped down to bare metal; the entire interior, drivetrain, and suspension all removed and rebuilt in 8 months. The only work contracted out was the spraying of the paint. All the bodywork, engine assembly, installation of entire drivetrain and suspension - including new brake lines, as well as the interior - including a custom made aluminum dash with Auto Meter gauges was completed by my husband and me. I have a Cardomain page that chronicles the entire build of the car, including installation of: Eibach Sportline suspension kit; Baer brakes front and back; installed battle boxes; and new engine and T5Z transmission.

(1 photo of a 1982 Bright Red Mustang Intermeccanica Convertible) Check out this rare one. Ever seen a 1982 Mustang convertible? Ford contracted Intermeccanica Custom Coach Builders to convert some 1200 Mustangs into convertibles in 1982. The conversion added a whopping $14,000 on to the price of the car. Jason, the owner, tells us more, "I purchased it on December 1, 2009. It is an early-production Intermeccanica 'Cabrio', with a production unit sequence in the 8,000 block. The data sticker shows a body type of 66H. It was built in August of 1981 and sold new in November, 1981 by City Ford in Los Angeles. It has power windows, steering, brakes, and A/C. The interior is factory red with white leather upholstery. The engine has been freshly overhauled and runs like a Swiss watch. Original Bright Red (27) paint is super-nice, suggesting it spent its life indoors. The colors, options, overall well-kept condition and early production indicate the car was probably purchased by someone with power and prestige, perhaps within the auto industry. The seller owned the car only two years and had no information on prior ownership history. The recent owner had two reasons for selling the car. First, it needs the original top replaced and Intermeccanica was of no help to him in finding the original pattern. Second, he didn't have funds to replace the automatic transmission. Kevin shares, "I put on a '86 nose cone and 16" pony wheels - 245/50 16 rear and 245/45/16 front. I ordered a pile of new parts; new water pump, Ford Racing 9mm wires, new dist cap and rotor, cold air intake, new battery tray, new motor mounts, timing cover, and Ford Racing engine gasket kit. I am picking up a donor '86 5.0l car for the '86 engine, tank, computer, and 8.8 rear end."

Those are "deluxe full wheel covers" which where standard on the L, GL, and GLX. This car is a mix between a US Mustang and a Capri. I haven't seen this notchback body style before. I've only seen the hatchback which has the Capri front end. It has a V6 emblem on the front fender. Fabio tells us, "Desde chamo o para ese aÃ±o siempre desee tener uno me moria por tenerlo pero era muy chico. Siempre quedo en mi mente ahora pasados los 38 aÃ±os logre mi sueÃ±o un Ghia original con tan solo 35.000 millas, totalmente guardado para mi y la compra fue para celebrar en grande pleno mes de mi cumpleaÃ±os, mi mejor regalo. Eso fue una maÃ±ana q fui avisitar un cliente y sin querer en el estacionamiento lo vi lleno de polvo logre hablar con su dueÃ±a insisti y en ocho meses decidio vendermelo. Lo q queria era q me entregara las llaves y listo pero no fue facil dure casi tres horas hasta q logre sacarlo de su garaje. Ahora lo conservo por eso 'yo y mi mustang mi mustang y yo'" I had help from a Spanish speaking co-worker to translate: "When I was a kid I wish I had one. It has been always in my mind. Now, that I am 38 years old my dream came through, an original Ghia with just 35,000 miles. Just for me. I got it as a birthday present, the best one ever. One morning I went to visit a client and in the parking lot I saw it all dusty. I talked to the owner (a lady) and after 8 months of negotiations I convinced her to sell it to me. I just wanted her to hand over the keys to me. It was not easy to get it out of her garage. It took me 3 hrs to start it. For that reason I keep it. Me and my Mustang, my Mustang and me."

Tim tells us, "I bought it in 1985 when I was 19. I drove it for several years, but then parked it in the mid '90's. About 7 years ago, my brother took the car out of my mom's garage to a local shop and got it running again. At that point, it was mostly stock except a few visual mods. For the first few years, that was okay but after awhile my son and I needed to amp up the performance aspect of the car. In May 2013 we took to removing the motor and trans. Over the course of the next year and a half, the top end was completely gone through including GT40 iron heads, a Comp 268H cam, perform roller rockers, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. This year, the car got new 10th anniversary cobra rims and lowering springs. It's a riot to drive, and was a great project to work on."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting March 12, 2018. Robert tells us more, "I purchased this 1983 Mustang convertible with a 5.0 engine with 69,000 original miles. The interesting thing about it, that it has a 4 speed not 5 speed. The car is all original with matching numbers and it is in excellent condition. I purchased it a year ago from someone who garaged it. When researching the history, the car was purchased in 83 but never registered until 1990s. I'm trying to find out how rare if any, this car is for having a T4."

Aaron tells us more, "This SVO was sitting for 18 years and passed down to me at the age of 18. I did a complete restoration. It was given to me with the V8 because the 2.3L Turbo had many problems. The rear end is rebuilt being a 8.8 inch with 3.73 gearing. The wheels are also stock."

I removed the 4 cylinder 4 speed and put in a 302 bored with long tube Blackjack headers dumped just in front of rear axle from 18 cherrybombs (it sounds good once throttle is pushed) and paired with a C4 automatic. The interior donated from a 89 GT, front bumper custom made using bumper for a 91. The only parts I ain't got to touch yet are rear quarter panels. The car was a father son project before he grew up and moved. Now its my weekend toy. Still trying to decide the final color scheme. Taking all ideas offered. I am currently looking at the Shadow Gray with flat black striping."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting May 5, 2013. The owner says, "It has 87000 original miles. I am the second owner. It's all original except for 17 inch wheels and tires, air adjustable rear shocks, 5% window tint, MSD cap and rotor, new weatherstripping, purple hornie glass packs ,and blue ford racing spark plug wires. Currently at the body shop being painted Ford Deep Impact Blue."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 15, 2013. Kerry tells us more, "I just recently purchased this Mustang. It came to me from Gardner, Kansas. It is a rare and odd car. It started life as a 1985 Twister II white convertible. It is one of eight Twister IIs that have been confirmed that were sent to Soloman American and converted to Predators. Data I have found shows that one of those cars was a hatch, one was a red vert, and the last six were white verts. If this is the case, then all six white vert twister IIs that were built would have been converted to Predators. Three of them are carb'd cars and three of them were CFI cars. This car is Predator number 5S-0149. It has undergone a cosmetic restoration on the body back to it's original Predator condition with the addition of the twister graphic on the rear 1/4 to pay homage to the way it started it's life. It has no other modifications other than those done by Soloman American. These pictures were taken before I purchased it. The building in the background is the Soloman American warehouse building."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 23, 2014. Wayne shares, "The car was purchased new from Cal Worthington Ford. We have owned it ever since. As you can tell I am a stock nut and did a lot of research before deciding to restore her in full original configuration. I found out that only 29 hatchbacks where painted color code 4M in 1985 - add to that the limited production of 'T-roof' cars and I am certain this is a one of vehicle. Like Bonnie and Clyde thanked Ford for such an awesome vehicle, I will have to do the same. This vehicle has never left us dead anywhere. At times her gallop was not what it should have been but she always made it home. "

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting April 8, 2018. The Predator was designed by Tom Soloman and sold at Ford dealers. Daniel had this story to share, "Like most car guys I had never even heard of a Predator Mustang until I discovered one on-line. Of course the curiosity got the best of me, and I had to know more. From there it wasn't long and I had to have one. (This is my 5th Fox-body Mustang by the way and I hopefully not my last) I was fortunate to get to know a couple of great knowledgeable guys on-line in the Predator community, and as luck would have it one of them was the previous owner of our car. He hooked me up with the guy selling the car on eBay; the car was sweet with only 29k original miles. The only catch was it was in Pennsylvania. What! How in the world am I going to purchase a car through eBay all the way up in PA.? No test drive, no putting your hands on the car, no sitting in it. I live in Wichita, KS for cry'in in the night... And the expense of getting the car back to Kansas was really stressing me out. I sure as heck wasn't going to drive it back to Kansas. After days and weeks of talking on the phone, texting and a lot of patience from my wife who was constantly talking me off the ledge. I was able to get the purchase done and get the car shipped from PA. It was one of the most stressful things I've ever done, don't recommend buying a classic that way, but as my wife says I was on a mission. After two days of transport the car arrived on a Saturday late morning and it was like Christmas morning. Yah it was just like that. The car had issues from sitting so much, with only 29k miles on the odometer, you do the math that's a little over 900 miles a year. Run-ability issues, AC didn't work and some of the Predator pkg. accessories had been altered or replaced. So I spent the next year tuning the car and with the help of a gentleman here in Kansas who is an expert in Predators, I was able to get her real close to exactly the way she was when delivered back in 1985. Our car is Serial # S5-0131. The car was produced in Topeka KS. It was sold new at Rusty Eck Ford in Wichita, KS. It is 1 of 135-140 cars with the Predator package in 1985. And that's how S5-0131 got back to Kansas and this is where she'll stay."

Scott tells us more, "This is my 4th Mustang. I have had 72 Sprint fastback, 91 GT, 99 GT, and now this 86 GT - 5.0L, T-Tops, and 5-speed. Its been completely restored - several mods including: headers, H-pipe, Pypes Violater after cat, camber-caster plates, FRP springs, Autometer gauges, 75MM TB & spacer, adjustable FPR, injectors, fender CAI, Hurst shifter, steering wheel, pony wheels & 245/50 tires, intake & valve covers painted body color, tail lights painted body color, and battery in hatch."

Dwayne adds, "I bought this GT in 1990 when the car was 4 years old. It's 28 years old now and I'm still driving it. It's still stock except for the chrome wheels I put on it. It's runs as good as ever and I think it looks almost as good as it did when I bought it."

It has the original motor, modified air induction, weld racing wheels, original paint. It has a little over 82,000 miles and has been garaged since its ownership by myself. I have won many trophies with this car and am very pleased with its performance and condition."

Sam tells us more, "The Mustang is fully stock except for the Gray Metallic paint and the black stripes. My Dad and I bought the car for $1,000. All it needed was a distributor and a power steering pump. Now it is a good looking, reliable, beast of a car."

Rob tells us more, "I went for a ride in this car eight years ago and really enjoyed the ride. Every summer I would always ask the previous owner, 'When are you going to bring out the Mustang again?' Never saw the car again. Last year he came up to me and told me he was selling the car. I couldn't get to the bank fast enough. He had the car just under eight years and put less than 400 miles on it. Last summer I put 1600 miles on the car. Truly awesome and enjoying it."
