1994 Rio Red Mustang SVT Cobra convertible, right side view. The SVT group took the new "SN-95" 1994 Mustang platform and added a new bumper incorporating round driving lights (GT lights where smaller and square), crystal clear European-style reflector headlamps, a pedestal-mounted rear spoiler with LED brake lights incorporated, Cobra side emblems, and 17" chrome wheels with P255/45/ZR17 Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires. The rear bumper still read "Mustang".

1994 Mustang SVT Cobra D-code 240hp (at 5000rpm), 5.0 liter (320ci), overhead valve, Cobra V8 engine. In order to get this larger engine to fit the strut tower-to-cowl brace was removed. This was fine since the new 1994 body and frame coupe style had 44 percent more torsional rigidity and the convertible style had 80 percent more, than the 1993 body/frame.

This beautiful 1994 Mustang GT in Canary Yellow exterior paint is owned by Alex Oliveira of Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was his first and he got it in 2013. The only way to get a Canary Yellow Mustang in 1994 was to purchase the GT package. This GT also has the optional 17 inch cast aluminum wheels. The single-wing rear spoiler was standard on the GT for 1994.

Crystal White 1994 Mustang Boss Shinoda GT coupe with custom body panels (front/rear fascia, hood, body side panels, rear spoiler), Shinoda Boss stripes and graphics, and custom wheels. This was the first year Larry Shinoda set up a company to modify the Mustang GT and Cobra into the Boss and Cobra 429 Boss. Larry Shinoda was the designer of the original Mustang Boss in 1969. The engine is a 302 high output V8 with MAC 1 and 5/8 inch chrome headers, underdrive pulleys, BBK 70mm throttle body, K&N filter, CDC/Dynomax side exhaust. Other modifications are CDC side scoops, 17 inch factory chromed wheels, 245/45ZR17 Ultra Z tires, Accel ignition, Taylor Spiro Pro 8mm wires, door jams and dash by MustangWorld, Steeda lower springs allowing for a 1.5 inch drop, JCWhitney rear window louvers, GTS blackouts, and CDC billet grille and front spoiler.

This Rio Red 1994 Mustang Boss Shinoda Cobra 429 coupe with a SVO 429 block bored 605ci with double electronic fuel injection, putting out 670hp at 5500rpm and 700 ft-lbs of torque at 4250rpm was our Attitude Of The Week for April 6, 2008. The compression ratio is 10.5:1 and the rear axle ratio is 2.73:1. 1994 was the first year Larry Shinoda set up a company to modify the Mustang GT and Cobra into the Boss and Cobra 429 Boss. Larry Shinoda was the designer of the original Mustang Boss back in 1969. This photo is available in two larger wallpaper sizes .
