(from page 5 of the 1994 Collection) 1994 Rio Red Mustang SVT Cobra convertible, right side view. The SVT group took the new "SN-95" 1994 Mustang platform and added a new bumper incorporating round driving lights (GT lights where smaller and square), crystal clear European-style reflector headlamps, a pedestal-mounted rear spoiler with LED brake lights incorporated, Cobra side emblems, and 17" chrome wheels with P255/45/ZR17 Goodyear Eagle GS-C tires. The rear bumper still read "Mustang".

(from page 5 of the 1994 Collection) 1994 Mustang SVT Cobra D-code 240hp (at 5000rpm), 5.0 liter (320ci), overhead valve, Cobra V8 engine. In order to get this larger engine to fit the strut tower-to-cowl brace was removed. This was fine since the new 1994 body and frame coupe style had 44 percent more torsional rigidity and the convertible style had 80 percent more, than the 1993 body/frame.
