This custom 1968 California Special Mustang GT was at the 2010 Mustang Roundup car show in Bellevue, Washington. This GT/CS was originally ordered Wimbledon White with a black vinyl top, but now wears a bright yellow exterior paint, custom wheels, and custom engine.

The engine has been customized including yellow block paint. Originally this car had a T-code, 200ci, 6-cylinder engine.

This is a copy of a Ford press release for the 1968 California Special hardtop. The text reads, Ionia, Michigan - Fiber glass components for Ford's recently announced California Special version of the popular Mustang -- designated the Mustang GT/CS -- are being produced by A.O. Smith Corporation's plant here at a rapid pace to keep up with West Coast demand for the sporty model. A fiberglass deck lid with integral racing spoiler lower back panel and body side scoops are among the new Mustang's design features that reflect the definite influence of Ford's 1968 Shelby GT models, built at Ionia by A.O. Smith.
