(1 photo of a 2002 True Blue Mustang Coupe) True Blue 2002 Mustang coupe owned by Steve Tapper from Reisterstown, Maryland. It has a 3.8 liter V6 engine and an automatic transmission. Steve tells us more, "I purchased this car in May 2008 from a used car dealer in Baltimore. The car had 75,000 miles on it. It had some minor body work issues but it was mechanically sound and a good candidate to use as both a daily driver and a car show entry. Over the past two years I have been upgrading this car both mechanically and cosmetically. On the mechanical side the radiator, transmission, power brake, and power steering systems have been flushed and treated with BG products. The brakes have been totally rebuilt with new rotors, calipers, and ceramic brake pads. New ball joints and tie rods have firmed up the front suspension and new Gabriel HD Shocks are on the back. The original faded headlights have been replaced with new triple beam halogen lights and an American Muscle cold air intake system has been added. A new Dyna Max cat back dual exhaust system gives this car a nice mellow growl. New American Muscle 5 spoke 16-inch Cobra R wheels now replace the mismatched wheels that came with the car. The windows have been tinted and the car has just come back from the body shop where the body work was repaired and a brand new factory OEM paint job has brought back the original True Blue color. I have purchased new silver side stripes from American Muscle and a new white faced gauge package which will be installed shortly. The car now gets admiring looks from everyone and appears at many local car shows. This will be my second year as an attendee at the Ford Nationals at Carlisle, PA where I will be part of the contingent representing the Mustang Club of Maryland, where I serve as the Club's Historian."
(1 photo of a 2002 Mineral Gray Mustang GT Coupe) You couldn't get a Cobra in the United States back in 2002. Kevin Abrahamson built his own! Kevin explains, "I scored this 02 GT with 60K in 06 for $3200 needing collision repair. It had a 2-inch Eibach suspension lowering kit and a very rude Magnaflow exhaust system. Since I already had 2001 Cobra front and rear bumper covers as well as a 2001 Cobra hood, I decided to Cobra Clone it. I also attached the factory GT hood scoop to the Cobra hood to give it an individual look. There were minor bolt on upgrades to the motor and the rear differential and the transmission is a stock Tremec with Ford Motorsports clutch setup."
Kevin owns other Mustangs as well.

It's all stock has the Mach 1000 stereo system upgraded wheels 18x10 in the rear upgraded rotors and Saleen calipers. I mainly use it for car shows, cruise nights, and on nice sunny days. I've only driven the car once in the rain, I was caught coming from a car show."

It also has a manual transmission, full leather interior with all the upgrades, Saleen 13" slotted front brakes, and Saleen fender badges. Larry tells us,
"I bought the Saleen 2 years ago from a dealership with only 5,000 original miles on it with zero defects. The car had basically been stored and pampered in a controlled environment for 12 years. Over the past 2 years I have driven the car and put nearly 10,000 miles on it. I have made a few modifications to improve power and overall handling performance; new Continental DW tires, full length sub-frame connectors, BBK 75mm throttle body, BBK full length ceramic headers, BBK H-pipe, Steeda rear lower control arms, Steeda rear shock tower brace, ACT lightened flywheel, and Exedy stage 2 clutch."
(1 photo of a 2003 Black Mustang GT Coupe) Here is Karen Baum making a pass in her Ebony Black 2003 Mustang GT on the Speed Channel show called Pass Time. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 21, 2010. Karen tells us more, "I bought this car two years old and found out later she was a repo from Jersey. She was a little rough and only thing done to her was the exhaust (which I ended up fixing since it was poorly done). After doing the exhaust, I was told this car was too masculine for a girl to drive. That is when 'Nasty' would come to be. I think she is too much for a man to drive now;-). Nasty 03 is featured in the AmericanMuscle.com calendar for January 2010. Also appeared on the TV show 'Pass Time' which airs on Speed Channel. These are the modifications (which is hard to keep current!!). Currently over 40 between appearance and performance. Performance modifications include: custom 3-inch tipped catback, BBK ceramic longtube headers and off-road H-pipe, FRPP 3.73 gears, FRPP C-springs, Accufab 70mm throttlebody and plenum, MGW short shifter, clutch adjuster, Steeda underdrive pulleys, Steeda cold air intake, SLP Line-lock, driveshaft loops, subframe connectors, Brembo slotted rotors, 245/45-17 NITTO 555Rs in front, 325/45-17 M+H Racemasters in the back, and SCT XCal SF3 Tuner with custom tuning by SWARR Auto. Gotta look good too: 20% window tint, Xenon quarter window louvers, ABS rear window louver, black Shelby Torq Thrust M rims (17x8 in front, 17x10.5 deep dish in back), Smoked headlights and foglights, 8-inch black antenna, chrome billet scoop inserts, Mach 1 grille delete, painted Mach 1 chin spoiler, UAD skeleton grille pony emblem, UAD airbrushed flamed radiator cover, MGW underhood dress up, chrome strut and nut cap covers, UPR 2-tone interior knobs and coat hooks, FRPP Bullitt pedals, MRT billiard shift knob, red LED interior lighting, redline tuning hood struts, GT embroidered floor mats, polished shifter bezel, Saleen S281 wing, Web Electrics sequentials, and Kenwood DDX512 6.1-inch wide in-dash monitor with USB/iPod direct control/DVD

(1 photo of a 2003 Zinc Yellow Mach 1 Mustang Coupe) Zinc Yellow 2003 Mach 1 Mustang coupe owned by Robert VanAckooy from Hyde Park, New York. Robert tells us more, "I had someone do a search in May of 2009, and they found this Mach 1 in New Jersey with just over 8,000 miles. This was done through a service station/used car dealer where I have serviced my cars over the past two years. They went down to inspect the Mach 1 and brought it back for me. The car is mint. Like new inside and out. It was like getting a brand new Mach 1, but at a considerable savings. I put over 2,500 miles on the car from June to December. Now, it spends most of the winter in a garage - only coming out on days when the roads are clear of snow and salt. This is my second Mach 1. I had a 1973 Mach 1 when I was young."
(1 photo of a 2003 Oxford Wite Boss Shinoda Mustang Convertible) Oxford White 2003 Mustang Shinoda Boss convertible owned by Thomas Spengler from Frewsburg, New York. It has a 4.6L V8 and a manual transmission. Thomas adds, "I purchased this Boss convertible in the summer of 2010 from a dealership in Buffalo, New York. Sweet looking and sounding car. It is a legacy level #003 with approximately 55,300 miles on it. It still looks and runs beautiful. I added a cold air intake and angel eyes headlights. The originals also available."
(1 photo of a 2003 Torch Red Mustang GT Coupe) Torch Red 2003 Mustang coupe owned by Dwayne and Judy McCracken from Washington, Missouri. Judy had this to share, "We bought this Mustang in 2005. It had 10,000 miles on it and had been a company car. My husband had an 86 GT and I always loved it(still do). I happened to see the 03 at a dealer and took it for a test drive. I'll never forget that thrill I got when it threw me back into the seat and held me there! I've loved that car ever since. It's got a V8 4.6 and a manual transmission. It's torch red and has two black GT stripes on the hood. I've kept it strictly stock and plan to keep it that way. No modifications, ever! It may look plain and to some simple but its simplicity is what I love about it. Make no mistake, even though it is unpretentious and perhaps too 'plain' for some, this is a machine to be reckoned with!"
(1 photo of a 2003 Zinc Yellow Mustang GT Coupe) Zinc Yellow 2003 Mustang GT coupe owned by Ritchie Hayden from Atlanta, Georgia. It has the 4.6L V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Ritchie tells us more, "I bought the car about 2 months ago after a long search looking at many cars for sale. Most of them were overpriced for the condition they were in. This one was a great price, awesome condition, and low miles! Mods I have done so far include: Spectre Racing air filter, C&L 82mm CAI, BBK Performance 75mm throttle body, C&L upper intake plenum, Performance Automatics shift kit, SR Performance drilled and slotted brake rotors w/ceramic-carbon pads, American Muscle chrome Bullitt 17x9" and 17x10.5" wheels, Nitto NT555 17x35x275 and 17x40x315 tires, and Flowmaster 2-1/2" catback dual exhaust w/series 40 mufflers and 3" tips."
(1 photo of a 2003 Black Mustang GT Coupe) Black 2003 Mustang GT coupe owned by Donald 'FUZES' Woods from West Virginia. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting January 29 2017. It has the 4.6L V8 and an automatic transmission. Donald tells us, "Purchased in 2007 from dealer stock. 40,000 Original miles. Started modification's in 200. First I start with the wheels, and then the Kaminari body kit, and Cobra R rear spoiler, side scoops, and finally the Black Single Stage Paint. First year at local car shows, I won two trophies from three shows. Second year I showed at 10 shows and won 7 trophies. The most interesting was the Best Tuner."

(1 photo of a 2004 Redfire Red Mustang GT Convertible) Redfire 2004 Mustang GT convertible owned by Dan and Debby Heagy from Aberdeen, Maryland. Dan tells us more about his GT,
"We searched on cars.com and found it at a Chevrolet Dealer in New Jersey. We watched it for about a month to see if the price would come down and it did. Out of 1500 Mustangs on the website we liked this one the most because of the low miles of 23,000 miles. We bought it last August on the 4th, its an 2004, I have Mustang club number 0004, and the last 6 digits are 221111 which add up to 4. It replaced a 98 GT Mustang that was totaled two and a half years ago. I'm currently the Vice President of the Mustang Club of Maryland. We attended the 45th Mustang Anniversary in Alabama and are looking for the 50th. I love driving with the top down on warm sunny days. I installed the Ford Racing suspension kit, BBK throttle body, MM strut tower brace, Mac prochamber exhaust, SSP loudmouth mufflers, and Ford Racing 373 gears."
(1 photo of a 2004 Sonic Blue Mustang GT Coupe) Sonic Blue 2004 Mustang GT owned by Brian Manders from Grand Prairie, Texas. Brian tells us,
"I bought this 2004 Mustang GT in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky in 2006 when I got back from my first tour in Iraq. It was two years old and had 15k miles on it. It came with K&N air intake, short throw shifter, and Steeda tips. I put in a BBK 75mm throttle body, BBK shorty headers, Bassani O/R X-pipes, Diablo sport tuner, and Eibach pro kit springs. In the front I put Bullitt rims 17x9 black finish. In the rear is Bullitt black finish 17x10.5 sitting on Nitto 555 extreme ZRs. The headlights are dark smoked. I have been in a few car shows - two first place awards and two top-10 class awards."
(1 photo of a 2004 Black Mustang GT Coupe) Tim Davis owns this Black 2004 Mustang GT coupe. It has a 4.6L V8 and an automatic transmission. Tim shares,
"I have always loved Mustangs all my life. When I finally came into the market of getting one, I search for 6 months to find the right one. I have always loved black Mustangs, so I waited for the right one to come along. I have always thought - among all of the many styles and models the 99-04 models looked good. I liked the body style. I finally ran accross the one I wanted and it was in pristine condition. I latched unto it and today it stays in the garage when I'm not out sporting it around and believe me it turns heads. I love my Mustang. My dream is to one own a classic 65-67 Shelby GT fastback."
(1 photo of a 2004 Silver Mustang SVT Cobra Convertible) Silver 2004 SVT Cobra convertible owned by Fred Scaldaferri from Fayetteville, North Carolina. It has a 4.6L V8 supercharged engine and
a manual transmission. Fred tells us,
"I've always had a love for Cobras, especially the Terminator. I was deployed in 2009 and happened to see my Cobra on Carmax so I immediately called my wife to have her pick it up for me. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. As soon as I redeployed back home from overseas, I began modding it. So far I have a Borla Stinger catback exhaust, JLT gen 2 ram air intake, Stiegemeier stage 3 ported supercharger with a 2.8 upper pulley and a +2 lb crank pulley, 60lb injectors, and a Kenny Bell boost a pump. I also went with a Lethalperformance intercooler expansion tank and a Lightning Force
performance dual pass heat exchanger. As of right now, my last dyno yielded 508 hp and 490 ft-lbs of torque. For my suspension I have a complete fulltilt boogie racing bushing kit on the rear. I have Maximum Motorsports full length subframe connectors and diff brace. I also used billetflow subframe brackets. For the front I have Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates with a front bumpsteer kit. It is lowered 1.5 inches with the Eibach pro kit lowering springs."
(1 photo of a 2004 Redfire Red Mustang GT Convertible) Redfire 2004 Mustang GT convertible owned by Diane Barrett from Denver, Colorado. It has the 4.6L V8 and a manual transmission. Diane shares,
"In January of 2010 I had a dream that I bought a Red Mustang convertible. I told my husband about it, but we just laughed it off. In the mean time a dealership had been calling, emailing etc. my husband to come down and take a look at a Cobra that had just been traded in for a new Shelby GT500. He kept putting it off, and December went flying by, then most of January, till one day hubby got a call aging from the salesman that we deal with a lot. He told my husband that he really needed to come see the car, said it was unusual etc. Hubby decided to go see the car the next day after we had decided if it was what we had been looking for we would buy it. So the next morning about 11 am we show up at the dealer only to find that the car had been sold the night before to a soldier and he was leaving soon to go to Afghanistan. We were very disappointed, especially my
husband. The soldier had traded in his car, so we went to look at it. The car hadn't been cleaned prepped, or anything else. The car was RED, convertible, Mustang... just like in my dream. So the short story is; we bought the car. This is it!"

(1 photo of a 2004 Competition Orange Mustang GT Convertible) Competition Orange 2004 Mustang GT convertible owned by Mike and Shirley Roode from Maitland Ontario Canada. This is our featured
Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 10, 2020. Mike tells us more,
"This car was purchased new by us on July 19th, 2004. After much research, we found there were only 408 Mustang GT convertibles produced in Competition Orange - 171 automatics and 231 standards. After all the years of ownership and 92,000 Kilometers (55,000 miles), the car still wins awards at car shows in the stock category. The only modifications have been a Mach 1 chin spoiler, a light bar and a K&N Cold Air intake system. We still get many looks from people due to the color however now they are also impressed with the condition of a car which is this old and driven this much. The car has never seen snow or a gravel road."
(1 photo of a 2005 Black Red Mustang GT Steeda Convertible) Black over red 2005 Custom Steeda Mustang GT convertible from Garland, Texas. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week photo for 3/23/08. James Goode is a member of the North Texas Mustang Club, SVT of North Texas and The Black Mustang Club. In early May of 2006, James Goode walked into the entry way of Dallas Mustang with a plan. Goode wanted to make his 2005 Mustang GT convertible into a Steeda Mustang, but could not make the 1400 mile trip to Pompano Beach, Florida for the make over. Goode asked Randy Gibson, owner of Dallas Mustang to do the makeover. At that time, Dallas Mustang was able to build a Steeda Mustang. Justin, of Dallas Mustang started the makeover with Steeda Cold Air Kit, Steeda pulleys, Steeda Charge Motion Delete Plates, Steeda Headers with a Bassani X-pipe with hi/flo cats and a Corsa Exhaust, Steeda Strut Tower Brace, Steeda Sport Shifter, Steeda Sport Springs, Steeda Adjustable Panhard Bar and G-Trac Brace. With the SCT Xcalibrator 2 tune, the Steeda made over GT was pulling 302.11 RWHP and Max Torque of 316.64 lbs, an increase of 23 RWHP. These mods would most likely satisfy the average Mustang enthusiast. Goode wanted to add a little show to the Pony. He had
Justin add billitt accessories to the interior and under the hood. Speaking of hood, Goode also had Justin add a Steeda 3-inch Heat Extractor Hood as well as a Steeda Chin Spoiler to his ride. Mike Testlin, owner of "Best in Show" paint & body in Garland, sprayed the pony in a custom black and silver over factory Torch Red color scheme designed by Kay Goode (the coach's wife). 70 year old James Crawford, venerable pin striper of 50 years added the finishing touches. Tim Morris of "Morris Custom Upholstery", Mesquite, Texas added a little sumpin-sumpin to the interior and trunk of Goode's Pony. Omar Medina of "Xtreme Audio" added a Panasonic head unit with 500 watt amp and 2 x 10" subs to the trunk. Omar also added a couple of 10" monitors in case Goode wanted to watch some game film while showing his ride. Paul Jordan of "Paul's Powdercoating" powder coated and, or chromed everything under the hood. On a sunny day with the hood up, you could get burned retinas! The old retired coach entered the North Texas Mustang Club's 17th Annual Yellow Rose All Ford Car Show in August of 2006 and immediately got hooked on showing his pony. To date the coach's car has won: 1st in class & Best Paint at the Yellow Rose 07; 1st in class & Best in Show at the AER Classic Car Show 07; Best Steeda, 1st in Class and Best in Show at the 07 Fun Ford Weekend. Goode also was introduced to Bentley Palez, owner of a highly polished and modified Black 05 Mustang GT convertible. They became good buds and often show their cars at major event together as the "Cruise Brothers" with another bud, Jim Bunch. Goode was very satisfied with his ride, until the winning of a Vortech Supercharger in a raffle at a charity car show caused a change in attitude. The mods by Dallas Mustang were now considered mild. When DM installed the Supercharger and did a retune, the mild pony became a "RADPONY"! The Dallas Mustang Steeda clone was now pulling 437.70 RWHP with 380.94 lbs of torque. The Pony could go fast, now it needed to stop fast. Goode had Justin to install a set of front & rear Baer 16" vented/cross drilled rotors with Baer Claw Calipers. Now this should satisfy the old coach, right? Not!! Goode knew he had two things going on in his life. 1) The old coach had surgery on his right foot coming up in November of 2007. 2) Goode wanted more power out of his pony. He wanted to take the RADPONY to the drag strip. He also knew taking a show car to the drag strip would be like taking a knife to a gun fight. The day before the surgery, Goode dropped the RADPONY off at Dallas Mustang and told Justin he wanted a stroker kit and forged rotating assembly added to RADPONY. The goal was 550 RWHP and 450 Torque. Goode knew he couldn't drive the 5-speed for at least 2-3 months. He told Justin to just take his time.
(1 photo of a 2005 Mineral Gray Mustang Custom Coupe) This customized Mineral Gray 2005 Mustang is owned by Barry Naft of Las Vegas, Nevada. Barry writes, I purchased this 2005 Mineral Gray Mustang on the 1st day it was available in Las Vegas, November 2004. I immediately drove it home and started customizing the body over the next 6 months with pieces found on E Bay. The market was just beginning so a lot of the parts were first off including the Cobra R front fascia. I did all the customizing and paint and striping myself, the car went through many changes from Retro to my original version of the pony long before Ford began producing them to its final look. This awesome modification was our Attitude Of The Week for September 7th, 2008. Barry also modified a Silver 1977 Mustang hatchback.
