(12 photos of a 1968 Black Hills Gold Mustang Color Of The Month Hardtop) This 1968 Mustang hardtop was originally ordered by Galloways Garage, Inc of Newburgh, New York as a Sprint B with automatic transmission, special Black Hills Gold paint (Gold Metallic WT3822), and blacked out louvered hood. The Sprint B came with a V8 engine, argent style wheels, and GT fog lamps. Two 1968 Mustang promotions come to mind: the Anniversary gold with black striped louvered hood Seattle area Golden Nugget Special, and the Black Hills Gold January Color of the Month rumored to be in the Denver area only. Both these special promotional cars were built in the San Jose plant (VIN 8R...) where this car was built in Metuchen, New Jersey (VIN 8T...); therefore, technically this car may be neither but it was ordered with the same paint as the January
Color of the Month Black Hills Gold. During the restoration of this car, the wheels have been changed to later Magnum 500 wheels.

(7 photos of a 1968 Raven Black Mustang GT California Special Hardtop) This Raven Black 1968 California Special hardtop was at the 2010 Mustang Roundup car show in Bellevue, Washington. It has the standard 12 slot argent styled wheels, white side stripe, side scoops with GT/CS graphics, California Special rear fender graphic, rear wing, and 289ci V8 engine. The C-code 289ci V8 was the most common engine for the 1968 GT/CS but others ordered included the T (200ci), J (302ci), X (290ci), S (390ci), and the R (428ci) code engines. Side stripes came in white, black, red, or metallic blue depending on the main exterior color. Most of the grilles included Lucas fog lamps but some did receive lamps manufactured by Marchal. 2.79:1 was the most common rear axle ratio but others included the 2.75:1, 3.00:1, 3.20:1, 3.23:1, and the 3.50:1. The GT California Special was a California special promotion but only about 8 percent of the cars was ordered with the GT option which included dual exhaust with quad exhaust tips, argent slotted steel wheels with GT center caps, and heavy duty front and rear spring. All other standard 1968 GT options were not used.

(9 photos of a 1969 Black Jade Green Mustang Convertible) Black Jade 1969 Mustang convertible with chrome styled steel wheels and a 210hp (at 4600rpm), 302 cubic inch, 2 barrel, V8 engine. Black jade was a color only available in 1970. It was a very dark shade of green - so dark that it looked black under low lighting. It was a very popular color, as nearly 10% of the Mustangs built in 1969 were Jade Green.

This car has the optional GT equipment group which consists of rocker panel GT stripes, GT gas cap, GT hubcaps on argent styled steel wheels, hood pins, simulated or functional hood scoop, and chrome quad outlets depending on the engine ordered. With the 428 Super Cobra Jet upgrade came the Drag Pack which included an external oil cooler mounted in front of the radiator. This photo is also available as a

They had to be re-badged as T-5s in order to be exported to Germany. US Military stationed in Germany purchased most of the T-5s. This one has a Nugget Gold knit/vinyl interior. Other factory options include, 351ci 2-barrel V8, automatic transmission, console, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, AM radio with the Stereosonic tape system, head restraints, and Argent styled steel wheels.
