Check this one out. It's a 1987 Mustang LX notchback factory police car. This Mustang has the Special Service Package (SSP) from Ford. It was offered on the Mustang from 1982 through 1993. The package was only offered on the LX notchback with a 5.0L V8 engine. Special package features included; 0-140mph calibrated speedometer, metal disc brake rotor shields, front lower radiator air deflector, reinforced front floor pans, heavy-duty seats, heavy-duty Kevlar drive belt, heavy-duty belt tensioner, wheel ornaments, conventional spare tire, hood sound absorber delete, header hose inlet restrictor, Police special transistorized voltage regulator, and 15x7" heavy-duty steel wheels. The package included; aircraft type heater and radiator hose clamps, engine oil cooler, external transmission oil cooler, front wired speakers, full wheel covers, inoperative door courtesy light switches, radio noise suppression, relocated remote decklid release, single key locking system, and delete paint stripes.

This one was a Utah Highway Patrol Car. It has been repainted. The owner added the blue patrol lights on the headliner.

1988 Ford Mustang ASC McLaren 5.0L (302 CID) V8 convertible, performance decor package, rear spoiler, factory 15 X 7 ASC/McLaren cast aluminum white spoke wheels. Between 1987 and 1990 ASC McLaren took Mustang coupes and converted them into two-seat convertibles with a Mercedes SL look. They were created by Peter Muscat and Ford, built by American Sunroof Company (ASC) with performance suspension and wheel parts from McLaren. Notice the VIN number indicates the P40 Ford coupe body style.
