It's all original except the brakes were upgraded to discs.

Saw her on the Shasta Mustang Facebook page advertised for sale and fell in love straight away. Currently undergoing a full restoration."

Bill tells us, "I found the pony in a corner of the local panel beaters collecting dust. A Mustang convertible is the car I have always wanted and it was in great condition and all in its original state. I tried to keep as much of the car as possible during the restore. It now looks the same (other than colour) as it would have when it first came out of the show room. Drives like a dream."

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 24, 2011. It has it's original 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Mark tells us more, "I purchased this Mustang convertible GT in 2009. It was imported into Australia from North Carolina in 2006 by the person I purchased it from. The car has been restored to a very high level. It is an A code 4V motor with air conditioning, power steering, front disc brakes, power roof and rally pack. It is a beautiful car to drive and the color combination between the exterior and interior catches a lot of attention. The car won a sponsors award at the 2010 Australian Mustang Nationals in Adelaide and has been featured in Australian Mustang and Ford magazine."

This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 21, 2011. The car has it's original 289ci V8 and a manual transmission. Dale tells us more, "After having an awesome Emberglo coupe, I fell in love with the GT350H and just had to have one. A real one is out of my budget so the next best thing was a tribute. So this is the fruits of my labour - a fully restored 1966 GT350H replica with all the good bits. Looks and drives great. I am really thrilled with the end result. It truly is a wonderful car, which looked after should live on forever."

It was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 28, 2011. Dani tells us, "This a very original unrestored 66 coupe. It was built in San Jose, California on 7 Feb 1966. It was imported to Australia in 2010 and I bought it a week after it arrived in the country. The car even arrived with the original pink slip and several US Nationals Parks passes. The car was purchased in the US from the same family who bought the car originally. It is an excellent example of the classic icon."

This beauty is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting November 18, 2012. Daniel tells us more, "This 1966 factory GT coupe just spent the last 36 years with it's previous owner in Greensboro, North Carolina. Frank (now 82 years old) was the second owner as he'd bought it from the original owner who ordered it as a customer order back in late November 1965. It was optioned out nicely with an A code engine, power steering, a banded windscreen, green glass, pony interior, Rally Pac, long console, rear speaker, and AM radio to complement all the GT extras. It arrived in Australia in January of this year with 68,336 original miles. It still has many original features including the trunk liner, spare white wall tire, jack and ratchet, all panels and interior are also original (except for the carpet and mats), All bolt on parts such as power steering pump, 4bbl carburetor, intake manifold and so on are original numbers matching as well. This beautiful example of American automotive design still has the buck tag attached and is accompanied by the original factory build sheet of which I found the last piece (Bottom left hand corner) stuck under the passengers seat just a few weeks ago."

Kym's Mustang has a 289ci V8 engine and an automatic transmission. Kym tells us more, "I got my 66 about 6 years ago form a local dealer who brought it out of the states. It is a rust free car. I have done a rebuild on the motor and had it balanced. It runs a small 4 barrel carb and is a nice strong little motor. The trans has also been rebuilt. I run 3.25 gears in the rear. I am very happy with it - not a show car but a well loved car that is driven a lot."

I put about six thousand miles on it this year. I am really loving the thrill of owning and driving such a beautiful classic car."

Geoff tells us more, "My '67 is in the early stages of restoration and a conversion to Right-Hand-Drive is being done as we speak. The engine and C4 Trans will undergo reconditioning while conversion is being done. Then it will be re-assembled with extractors, 2" system, new chrome, etc."
(8 photos of a 1967 Special Paint Mustang She Country Special Convertible) This is one of only 48 Denver area, 1967 She Country Special Mustangs which was a creation of Ann Goodro of William Goodro Ford in April of 1967. Craig and Denise MacGregor of Australia just recently bought this Mustang for a Shelby convertible project, but after requesting a Marti report, the car turns out to be one of the special ordered She Country Special Mustangs. Craig and Denise was able to contact Ann Goodro to find that the car was probably originally Limelight Green which was one of the 4 pastel colors that Ann selected for the promotion. Tony Popish has helped out with finding an advertisement of the time which lists the colors as Evening Orchid (metallic lavender), Bermuda Sand, Autumn Smoke (metallic gray), and Limelite Green. Check out the photos Ann Goodro has of the promotion! This car was born with a 2U Parchment interior. This car also came with factory air, power roof, C-code 289 V8 engine, manual transmission, exterior decor (wheel lip molding, pop open gas cap, chrome bumper accents, vented hood), and a She Country Special decal but is now missing. Craig and Denise will be restoring the car rather than converting it to a Shelby.

It has the 396ci V8 engine and the automatic transmission. The 'A' in GTA is for the GT with the Automatic transmission. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 21, 2014. Rob tells us more, "I purchased this great S code genuine GTA in Wimbledon White with lovely 2D classic red interior. The original engine has been fully rebuilt and upgraded by FE Specialties who specialize in these big blocks. Bored to 396 ci, balanced, blue printed, bench run-in, and tuned. Comp CamShelby Hi rise manifold, ported and matched,650 Holly, Petronix 11. electronic ignition, ceramic coated try headers, polished Holly fuel pump, chrome rocker covers and air cleaner, twin exhaust system with free flow mufflers, 4 row radiator to keep all cool. The engine bay was stripped, painted, and detailed during the engine rebuild. The interior was completely retrimmed throughout with new seat cushions etc. new dash
bezel and Green LCD leash lights when fitted inside the original blue dash light covers a lovely blue light is produced. Much easier to see the dash. Dash being Genuine GTA with Equipment Group option also has 6000 RPM Tachometer and centre clock which has been now fitted with quartz movement for accurate time keeping. The original radio was FM radio which was replaced with a Classic Retro Sound Radio with Ipad/phone connectivity, blue tooth amp and 4 retro speakers two are in parcel shelf and two are concealed above the transmission tunnel facing down. This was a 11 hour custom fit and produces a superb but very loud classic sound. The front suspension has been renewed and fitted with all new components including comfort shocks and new marginally lower front springs. Rear springs have been reset, a new 5th leaf added, and again comfort shocks fitted. Outside is nice and straight Wimbledon White paint with all new chrome bumpers and bright work. New Scott Drake remote exterior drivers and passenger mirrors
have also been fitted. All glass is original with original optioned green tinted windows. Steering was the fast 16:1 ratio without power steering. Lots of feel on the road but was far was pleasant on our challenging drivers roads of Tasmania. Not wanting to change the essence or originality, the rack and pinion was passed up and an American Borgusen power steering 16:1 ratio was sourced along with a chrome Saginaw power steering pump and a full set of billet Aluminum double pulleys sourced from Summit Racing. New door rubbers and doors fully rebuilt with new window mechanisms, felt tracks and quarter vent rubbers, repinned door hinges and springs/cams. Work has started on full sound insulation (Resomat) throughout with only the trunk being completed to date. Full under carpet plus additional sound insulation will be undertaken shortly including inside of doors and under door panels to keep road noise and other noises confined to the outdoors. With Resomat it is expected that exterior noise will remain outside. New original styled wheels were ordered from the States in 15x7 for the front fitted with 225x60 and the rears with 235x60
BFG white letter tires. The remarkable Mustang is an absolute pleasure to drive and turns heads wherever it goes. It really is a classic muscle car and always work in progress which of course is great fun to work on."

Attitude of the Week for April 26th, 2009. It was built in San Jose, ordered in Los Angeles, under a special order with special paint WT3822. Mal writes:
My Mustang was imported in to Australia from Los Angeles as a running car and I purchased it from an importer. I knew little about Mustangs and the hobby grew from there. The body and Paint have been refurbished and the color has been professionally matched to the original color in the trunk. Body was rust free fortunately. The Mustang was in very good original condition when purchased and I drove it home, I have done most of the mechanicals and put it all together my self, I also have the original owners manual and is a matching numbers car. But most of all, I love driving it. Spanish Gold shares the same paint code as Black Hills Gold used in January 1968 for the Color of the Month Mustang promotion. The Color of the Month promotion offered a special ordered color and sport options for each of the first 4 months of 1968. Black Hills Gold was offered in January for the New Years; Passionate Pink in February for Valentines day; Emerald Green in March for Saint Patrick's Day, and Eastertime Coral for April. "It was imported into Australia January 2010. It was purchased by me September 2010. It's only travelled 3000 miles since full restoration - the last owner (in America) owned the car since 1987. It has GT pack on board but not a factory addition."

"I bought this car from an importer in 2011 and set about restoring it myself. It was originally a Limegold and Parchment vinyl roof car. Its been repainted in Calypso Coral with a black vinyl roof. The Ivy Gold interior has also bee replaced with a new black interior. I've had every nut and bolt out and know the car intimately now. I managed to track down the previous owner in California, who was very surprised to find the car had made it downunder and he was able to fill in some of its history. It recently attended the Mustang 50th Anniversary Celebrations in Geelong Australia, after driving it halfway across the country and back."

David tells us that it has a bench seat, C4 automatic transmission, power steering, air conditioning, and a 302ci V8 (replacing the original 289). This Rainbow Of Colors car has the 71 Los Angeles order district and 0779 special order number. We've heard of another Whipped Cream 1968 hardtop from this special order as well.

Tracey tells us, "Growing up as a child with Grandparents who were founding members of the Studebaker Club in Western Australia, did a lot for my interest in American Classics. They also had service stations and I was always playing with dinky cars on a road mat/carpet. I fell in love with the 'pony car' at a young age and always said I would get one... come Mid Life Crisis and Woolahhhh There she is! Imported originally from the US to Queensland and restored from a Champagne Gold / Nugget Gold trim to the XY GT colour of Wild Violet. She appealed to me instantly and I fell in love. Purchased from South Australia by a girl who brought her from Qld and then I shipped her home to Western Australia. Joined the MOCWA and became a committee member and learnt more about the passion. Moved to SA in Nov 08 as the 'car scene' here is huge. Although missing the Motorplex and being in a drag crew for a '66 Stang... Racestang! So here we are two and a half years down the
track and doing her up bit by bit. I have made a few modifications like mags, extractors, interior etc. - not to mention the odd mechanical hick ups of an ol' gal. But all in all I could never sell her even though she does turn heads being so WILD. So Wildstang and I are in love and my children are waiting for the day to fight over the ownership! hehe
