SCJ engine The Super Cobra Jet 360hp (at 5400rpm), 428 cubic inch, V8 engine. Only one other 1970 Mustang engine was more powerful, and that was the Boss 375ph( at 5600rpm) 429 cubic inch, V8 with Ram Air induction. The Super Cobra Jet could not be ordered separately as an option but came with the 3.91:1 and 4.30:1 axle ratios options which earned buyers a Drag Pak option ($155) that included the 428 Super Cobra Jet and an engine oil cooler.

Grabber Blue 1970 Mustang Grabber Blue 1970 Mustang hardtop owned by Frank Norman from Cleveland, Texas. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting August 22, 2010. This car came from the factory in Grabber Blue. It has a 351ci V8 and an automatic transmission. Frank tells us more, "I have had it since my senior year of High School in 1992. It has come down a long road. It had an '89 302 when I bought it, but it didn't last. I found a '72 Torino with the Cobra Jet Cleveland and C6. It has been warmed .030 over, Weiand intake, Holly 750, Isky valvtrain, Crane rollers, etc, Mach 1 seats, custom console, Grant steering wheel, etc."

Frank adds, "...It has been warmed .030 over forged pistons, Weiand intake, Holly 750, Isky valvetrain, Crane rollers, Sanderson shorty headers, Canton windage tray, MSD ignition, Magnaflow exhaust, Steeroids rack and pinion, underride traction bars, 1 1/8 Front sway bar, Mid eye rear leaf springs, 4 wheel disc, 17 inch Magnum 500's, rear bumper tuck, custom interior lighting, Mach 1 seats, Retrosound audio, custom speaker pods, custom console, Grant steering wheel, Autometer gauges..." to name a few.

Hawaii 1970 Boss Paperwork Here is the invoice for this Competition Yellow 1970 Boss-302 Mustang. The base cost of the Boss-302 was only $3035. A total of $424 in options were added to the car. The car sold at a dealer in Hawaii!

Green 1970 Mustang Convertible Medium Lime Metallic 1970 Mustang convertible owned by D Cooper Colbert from Pennsylvania. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting September 5, 2010. The owner tells us more, "It was just restored. I am the original owner. There is still some to go but I am real happy with the results so far! In 1978, I changed the green color to Grabber Orange, took off the road in 1988, and 07/2009 started the restoration putting the color back to original."

Calypso Coral 1970 Mustang Boss Calypso Coral 1970 Mustang Boss with an heavily modified Boss 429 cubic inch, 4 barrel V8 engine. Original options on this car include: Drag Pack, Convenience Group, clock, power steering, power front disk brakes, tachometer, AM radio, functional front air spoiler, decor group, competition suspension, trunk mounted battery, and bucket seats with center console. The rear spoiler and rear window louvers where added later.
