The 2022 2.3L High Performance package for the 4-cylinder Mustang adds Mustang GT brakes, and GT Performance Package aerodynamics and suspension components to push the horsepower higher.

New for 2022 is the Coastal Limited Package for the EcoBoost Premium. Similar to the California Special for the GT, the Coastal Limited for the 4-cylinder EcoBoost upgrades the wheels, ads Coastal Limited lighted sill plates, unique body colored grille, pedestal rear spoiler, side scoops, and unique vinyl stripe. The Costal Limited appearance pack replaces the 2021 and prior optional Pony Package.

New to 2022 is the Ice White appearance package which makes it all white (exterior paint, trim, badges, etc). Available for the Mach-E and EcoBoost; it ads white painted wheels, white interior trim accents and stitching, black grille with white pony badge, white rear pony badge.

Also new for 2022 is the Stealth appearance package which makes it all black (exterior paint, trim, badges, etc). Available for both the EcoBoost, the Stealth package upgrades the wheels to an ebony black painted aluminum style, ads stealth lighted sill plates, black badges, black pony grille, performance rear wing, black mirror caps, and clear LED taillamp with sequential turn signals. Along a similar line, since 2016, there has been a Black Accent Package available for the Mustang GT.

The 2022 Mustang GT has a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine, 3.55 limited-slip rear axle, engine oil cooler, larger brake rotors, 5.0L fender badge, dual exhaust with quad tips, rear GT badge, LED fog lamps, tased blade decklid spoiler, performance tires, unique high gloss black front grille, unique rear valance, and much more.

The 2022 GT Performance Package offers 19 inch ebony black-painted aluminum wheels, brembo brakes, engine-spun aluminum instrument panel, oil and vacuum gauge pack, heavy-duty front springs, k-brace, performance rear wing, black painted strut-tower brace, Torsen differential, unique chassis tuning and stability control, and upsized rear sway bar.

The 2022 California Special continues with a GT appearance upgrade for those sunny days. The Black and Red stripe is new on the 2022 California Special Package. Other upgrades include 19 inch machined-face aluminum carbonized gray-painted wheels, tower strut brace and rear badging, carbon hex aluminum instrument panel, California Special script floor mats, Mike Suede door and seat trim with tech stitching and GT/CS logo, rear performance wing (fastback), performance front splitter, side scoops, and unique front honeycomb grilles with GT/CS badge.

The 2022 Mach 1 continues with a 480hp version of the 5.0L V8 engine. The Mach 1 starts with a GT and adds badges inside and out, unique front fascia, 6-speed Tremec TR-3160 Manual Transmission from the GT350, transmission and differential coolers of the Shelby GT350, GT350/GT500 large rear wing (Swing), and exterior graphics to name a few.

The 2022 Shelby Mustang follows the performance of the previous year with a supercharged 5.2L V8, additional performance features, upgraded looks, and 8 new exterior paint colors. New to 2022 is the 55 anniversary Heritage Edition GT500 in 1967 Brittany Blue exterior paint.
