The Mustang LX coupes, hatchbacks, and convertibles were the base models for the 1990 Saleen Mustang. The SC (formerly SCC) hatchback offered more performance and power. The Racecraft suspension system and the Monroe Formula GP shocks improved the handling and ride quality. Customers could also choose an automatic transmission or a sunroof as optional features. The 3.55 rear axle ratio was another available option.
