Gregg : I have a 64 mustang almost identical to yours. Is there any way to prove which cars were in the parade? Thanks, Gregg g.kile@sbcglobal.net
mustangattitude.com : From what we can gather, 35 convertible Pace Car festival cars were specially built for the race as give aways. These may have also been used in the parade although it appears that these 35 were delivered after the race. They were painted Wimbledon White (code 'M' on the door data plate) and had D-code 289ci V8 engines; red, white, or blue interiors; both automatic and manual transmissions; and Pace Car decals. The standard Pace Car Replicas have a C color Pace Car White code, F-code 260ci V8, and had 42 white and blue interior codes. The three additional cars used as pace cars during the race had VINs 5F08F100240, 5F08F100241, and 5F08F100242.
