This is a rare Silver Blue 1966 T-5 Ford fastback with a blue interior. It was exported to Germany where Ford could not register the "Mustang" name for sale. Ford replaced the "Mustang" emblems with "T-5" emblems. You also had the choice of a miles-per-hour or kilometers-per hour speedometer. These cars also came with a stiffer shock tower brace for the German autobahn. This car sold at the 2006 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Arizona auction for $27,000.

- I have a t-5 convertible that I'm not sure how it got back in the US. It did have a 4 speed (3 speed with overdrive) I was told by a guy that it was not the right transmission and a toploader was right. I replaced it only to find later that it was the right transmission and now I have no idea how to find a transmission like that one. Can anyone help? My e mail is agooser26@hotmail.com/li>

- I have never heard of that transmission in Mustang, but I do not know about the t-5. A 1977 Ford had a trans like it - a top loader, 4th gear was o-drive. They changed the ratio on cluster gear and input shaft to do it. Maybe you can find one./li>
