Separate driver and passenger side dash cowls gave the 1969 Mustang interior an aircraft cockpit-look with clock centered in the passenger side dash. 1969 introduced the Rim Blow steering wheel option for $36 which allowed the horn to be activated by squeezing hard anywhere along the outer edge of the wheel. A soft rubber insert around the perimeter of the steering wheel had two strips of copper inside the rubber, held apart by two lips and connected to a switch. When squeezed the copper would touch and the switch would activate the horn. Ford soon discovered that many drivers squeezed the steering wheel harder while turning causing the dreaded accidental honking in turns. The rimblow steering wheel is definitely not a steering wheel to wrap in leather.
