Anonymous: | | Door tag is not correct. There were not any convertibles made with paint code 'C', pace car white. The dignitary or parade cars were paint code 'M', Wimbledon white. |
hasbeen: | | I am a little cloudy on this, but our dealership in Sheboygan Wi got one of those pace car convertibles. They were doled out to dealers that had some kind of special consideration. I remember prepping it for delivery. The decals were in the trunk. The owner came in while I was working on it, saw the decals, and threw them in the trash can. Never saw the car again. As I recall the paint code was left blank, as it was not a Ford color. Later, we also sold a 68 Torino pace car. I was not involved in that, as one of our mechanics bought it. It got driven into the dirt by his teen-aged daughter. |
