- My 1973 that I bought off the showroom floor in June 1973 at Moore Ford in Jacksonville, AR, looked nearly exactly like this one but had a black & white plaid half vinyl top. It had a 2.43 rear end and at 3,000 rpm was cruising at 78 MPH. I seriously modified the engine to give it nearly 500 HP. Shipped it to Madrid in 1976 and drove it hard over there. Sold it to a GI for $500 less than every dollar I had put into it. It was the first of 12 different Mustangs I have owned and my all time favorite.
