(from the 1983_00013_02 Collection) Black 1983 Mustang GT hatchback, right front view. The emblem on the fender says 5.0L. The 5.0L engine was the largest engine offered on the Mustang in 1983.

(from the 1983_00001_01 Collection) 1983 Mustang GT 5.0 with 4-speed manual transmission repainted redfire, but the GT specific black frames around the windshield and and doors remain. This photo shows the new aerodynamically design front of the 1983 Mustang with deeply recessed headlamp housings. This was the only year Mustang did not offer fog lamps. This Mustang has 1991-1993 GT/LX alloy wheels.

(from the 1983_00030_03 Collection) The convertible top cover is usually colored to match the interior. In this case, red. The convertible top is white in color.

(from the 1983_00024_01 Collection) Black 1983 Mustang GT hatchback owned by Tim from Cleveland, Ohio. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 24, 2016. Tim tells us, "I bought it in 1985 when I was 19. I drove it for several years, but then parked it in the mid '90's. About 7 years ago, my brother took the car out of my mom's garage to a local shop and got it running again. At that point, it was mostly stock except a few visual mods. For the first few years, that was okay but after awhile my son and I needed to amp up the performance aspect of the car. In May 2013 we took to removing the motor and trans. Over the course of the next year and a half, the top end was completely gone through including GT40 iron heads, a Comp 268H cam, perform roller rockers, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. This year, the car got new 10th anniversary cobra rims and lowering springs. It's a riot to drive, and was a great project to work on."

(from the 1983_00030_01 Collection) Medium Red 1983 Mustang GT convertible owned by Dave Hilgendorf from Saint Clair, Michigan. Dave tells us more, "I purchased it about 6 months ago from a private owner. It has 50,000 miles and is rust free. It is almost completely original. I have the original window sticker and a Marti report." The Marti report lists the following options: interval windshield wipers, 3.08 Traction-Lok rear axle, 5-speed manual transmission, P220/55R-390 TRX black sidewall tires, tilt leather wrapped steering wheel, speed control, power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioner, AM/FM cassette stereo radio, heavy duty battery, power windows, and TRX aluminum wheels.

(from the 1983_00018_01 Collection) Viper Red 1983 Mustang GT hatchback owned by Mark C from Marietta, Georgia. Mark says, "I am the second owner, and have owned my 1983 GT for about 15 years. It is a #s matching 302 HO 5-speed with all original interior with the premium sound system. The car has a few performance mods - i.e. camshaft, headers, and HEI distributor. The car runs and looks great for a 30 year old car."

(from the 1983_00007_04 Collection) 1983 Silver Mustang GT, left front view.
