(from page 1 of the 1983 Collection) Dark Academy Blue 1983 Mustang notchback owned by Al Kruse. It has a V6 engine! This car still has all it's original equipment and just under 49,000 miles on the clock.

(from page 2 of the 1983 Collection) Silver 1983 Mustang GLX convertible, right front view with alloy wheels found on the 1991-93 Mustang.

(from page 2 of the 1983 Collection) Silver 1983 Mustang GT with a 302 cubic inch V8 and unique GT blackout trim not only outside, but also on the inside.

(from page 3 of the 1983 Collection) Kevin James just picked up this 1983 Mustang GT hatchback. Kevin adds, "It will have a 5.0l engine out of an '88 Mustang with GT40 heads, 17" bullitt wheels, H&R lowering springs, and 5 lug conversion with rear disc brakes. The car is all original except for the TSW wheels on it now. It even has the factory vinyl bags for the T-tops. It is a 5-speed. The 5.0l engine in it now has some issues, hence the engine swap."

(from page 4 of the 1983 Collection) Kevin's 1983 project is now in his garage.

(from page 4 of the 1983 Collection) Kevin sends us updated photos of his 1983 Mustang GT hatchback project. Kevin shares, "I put on a '86 nose cone and 16" pony wheels - 245/50 16 rear and 245/45/16 front. I ordered a pile of new parts; new water pump, Ford Racing 9mm wires, new dist cap and rotor, cold air intake, new battery tray, new motor mounts, timing cover, and Ford Racing engine gasket kit. I am picking up a donor '86 5.0l car for the '86 engine, tank, computer, and 8.8 rear end."

(from page 4 of the 1983 Collection) Kevin has his 1983 Mustang GT hatchback running.

(from page 4 of the 1983 Collection) Black 1983 Mustang GT hatchback, right front view. The emblem on the fender says 5.0L. The 5.0L engine was the largest engine offered on the Mustang in 1983.

(from page 5 of the 1983 Collection) The Mustang convertible was re-introduced in 1983. This is a Ford promotional photo of a Medium Red 1983 Mustang GLX convertible with wire wheels, body side molding, and color keyed mirrors. The front window trim looks a little odd, because in 1983 Ford sent out all Mustang convertibles to be created from coupes.

(from page 5 of the 1983 Collection) Blue 1983 Mustang Ghia notchback owned by Fabio Agredo from Maracay, Venezuela. Those are factory Mustang hub caps.

(from page 5 of the 1983 Collection) Another shot of Fabio's Blue 1983 Mustang Ghia notchback. I wonder if it has been repainted.

(from page 6 of the 1983 Collection) Fabio's blue 1983 Mustang Ghia notchback on the hoist. This is a very clean looking car.

(from page 6 of the 1983 Collection) Page 6 and 7 of the 1983 Ford Mustang promotional brochure shows a Medium Yellow Mustang GL coupe.

(from page 6 of the 1983 Collection) A Bright Red Mustang GT with t-roof is shown on the center page of the 1983 Ford Mustang promotional brochure.

(from page 6 of the 1983 Collection) A shot of Tim's 1983 Mustang GT hatchback at a car show.

(from page 6 of the 1983 Collection) Here's a good way to get some attention. Put a high rise and dual quads on your 1983 Mustang hatchback. Looks like even the valve covers are too tall for the stock hood. It was one of the few Mustangs with it's hood open at the rainy 2009 car show at Uftring Ford.
