This photo shows the new aerodynamically design front of the 1983 Mustang with deeply recessed headlamp housings. This was the only year Mustang did not offer fog lamps. This Mustang has 1991-1993 GT/LX alloy wheels.

Kevin adds, "It will have a 5.0l engine out of an '88 Mustang with GT40 heads, 17" bullitt wheels, H&R lowering springs, and 5 lug conversion with rear disc brakes. The car is all original except for the TSW wheels on it now. It even has the factory vinyl bags for the T-tops. It is a 5-speed. The 5.0l engine in it now has some issues, hence the engine swap."

This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting January 22, 2012. It has a 5.0L engine and an automatic transmission. The color is Vermilion Red from 1994. Jeff adds, "I am the second owner. It has 83000 kilometers on it. I purchased the car from a man who had a company car and this was his summer car. His daughter was turning 16 and he was worried about her driving it, so he sold the car to me. These pictures were taken along the Niagara River about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls."

Those are "deluxe full wheel covers" which where standard on the L, GL, and GLX. This car is a mix between a US Mustang and a Capri. I haven't seen this notchback body style before. I've only seen the hatchback which has the Capri front end. It has a V6 emblem on the front fender. Fabio tells us, "Desde chamo o para ese año siempre desee tener uno me moria por tenerlo pero era muy chico. Siempre quedo en mi mente ahora pasados los 38 años logre mi sueño un Ghia original con tan solo 35.000 millas, totalmente guardado para mi y la compra fue para celebrar en grande pleno mes de mi cumpleaños, mi mejor regalo. Eso fue una mañana q fui avisitar un cliente y sin querer en el estacionamiento lo vi lleno de polvo logre hablar con su dueña insisti y en ocho meses decidio vendermelo. Lo q queria era q me entregara las llaves y listo pero no fue facil dure casi tres horas hasta q logre sacarlo de su garaje. Ahora lo conservo por eso 'yo y mi mustang mi mustang y yo'" I had help from a Spanish speaking co-worker to translate: "When I was a kid I wish I had one. It has been always in my mind. Now, that I am 38 years old my dream came through, an original Ghia with just 35,000 miles. Just for me. I got it as a birthday present, the best one ever. One morning I went to visit a client and in the parking lot I saw it all dusty. I talked to the owner (a lady) and after 8 months of negotiations I convinced her to sell it to me. I just wanted her to hand over the keys to me. It was not easy to get it out of her garage. It took me 3 hrs to start it. For that reason I keep it. Me and my Mustang, my Mustang and me."

I have been looking for awhile and this popped up. 1 of 44 GT/GLX in this color. It had no rust so I thought it would be a good car." Engine mods include; GT40 Aluminum heads, Crane cam kit, Motorsport 1.7 roller rockers, Edelbrock RPM air gap intake, Edelbrock ABC carb, K&N air filter, MSD digital 6 ignition, MSD dist & coil, Motorsport wires, Aeromotive fuel pump, Holley fuel regulator & gauge, BBK headers and H-pipe. Wheels & Suspension mods; 13-inch front Cobra and 98 GT brakes, Cobra wheels, Cooper RS3a tires, poly control arms, camber caster plates, Eibach springs sport line springs, Tokico shocks & struts, interior & exterior sub frame connectors, Strut tower braces. It also has a T5 with Hurst 5-speed shifter, Billet flywheel and clutch/quadrant, drive shaft loop, 8.8 with 3.73 rears, hardened axles & studs, and 5-lug conversion.
