(12 photos of a 1983 Red Mustang GT Hatchback) Kevin James just picked up this 1983 Mustang GT hatchback. Kevin adds, "It will have a 5.0l engine out of an '88 Mustang with GT40 heads, 17" bullitt wheels, H&R lowering springs, and 5 lug conversion with rear disc brakes. The car is all original except for the TSW wheels on it now. It even has the factory vinyl bags for the T-tops. It is a 5-speed. The 5.0l engine in it now has some issues, hence the engine swap."

(4 photos of a 1983 Red Mustang GT Hatchback) Viper Red 1983 Mustang GT hatchback owned by Mark C from Marietta, Georgia. Mark says, "I am the second owner, and have owned my 1983 GT for about 15 years. It is a #s matching 302 HO 5-speed with all original interior with the premium sound system. The car has a few performance mods - i.e. camshaft, headers, and HEI distributor. The car runs and looks great for a 30 year old car."

(3 photos of a 1983 Black Mustang GT Hatchback) Black 1983 Mustang GT hatchback owned by Tim from Cleveland, Ohio. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 24, 2016. Tim tells us, "I bought it in 1985 when I was 19. I drove it for several years, but then parked it in the mid '90's. About 7 years ago, my brother took the car out of my mom's garage to a local shop and got it running again. At that point, it was mostly stock except a few visual mods. For the first few years, that was okay but after awhile my son and I needed to amp up the performance aspect of the car. In May 2013 we took to removing the motor and trans. Over the course of the next year and a half, the top end was completely gone through including GT40 iron heads, a Comp 268H cam, perform roller rockers, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. This year, the car got new 10th anniversary cobra rims and lowering springs. It's a riot to drive, and was a great project to work on."

(2 photos of a 1983 Orange Mustang Hatchback) Here's a good way to get some attention. Put a high rise and dual quads on your 1983 Mustang hatchback. Looks like even the valve covers are too tall for the stock hood. It was one of the few Mustangs with it's hood open at the rainy 2009 car show at Uftring Ford.

(2 photos of a 1983 Medium Red Mustang GLX Hatchback) Medium Red 1983 Mustang GLX hatchback owned by Travis from Eugene, Oregon. It has a 5.0L V8 engine and a manual transmission. Travis tells us, "On the fence with restoration. This car is possessed, 1st car, tons of work, but fast and fun. I am just curious to know how rare this model is. I have never seen another 1983 Mustang GLX hatchback with a 5.0 and a 4-speed."
