It's actually two-tone, orange over black. Check out the yellow pinstripe on the vinyl body molding which circles the entire car. In 1980 the Mustang Cobra was redesigned to have a 3 slot grille with integrated front spoiler, rear facing non-functional hood scoop, and rear spoiler.

David says, I'm the only owner, I bought it from my sister-in-law . Two weeks after I bought it, it was hit by a hail storm.

The sports option package came with black window frames, belt and rocker panel moldings, full wraparound black body side moldings with dual accent stripe dumper inserts, 13 inch sport wheels, and a sport steering wheel. Ford was pushing the optional Turbocharged 2.3 liter, overhead cam, four cylinder optional engine with this package.

Unfortunately the body side molding, front grille and headlight molding have been painted over. They were probably all originally black, still a very nice car, and wait till you see the interior.

This is the first time I've seen one of these in person. The graphics on this car are pretty neat in person.

The 1979 Cobra Mustang options package was originally $1179 and included the 2.3 liter, turbo-charged, four cylinder; hood scoop; forged metric aluminum wheels with three main wide slotted spokes(replaced with other wheels on this car); blacked out window trim, body side and bumper trim, and lower body; sport mirrors, color keyed rear quarter window louver panels; tachometer and instrument cluster panel; and sport tuned exhaust with bright tailpipe tips. The hood graphics was an additional $78.

Elements include large 12 inch wide Gotti wheels, blanked off grille, hood louvers, rear facing shaker hood scoop, air-flow sealed headlamp trim, windows flush with outside body panels (the side windows are flip out), ten bulb rear light strip. Under the hood is a 132hp, 2.3L, turbo engine. Inside is a dark plexiglass covered instrument panel, a sport steering wheel, Recaro rally leather bucket seats. At the same time as this car was being shown, rumors of the Mustang McLaren were also out.
