(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) A shot the dash. It has an automatic transmission and an aftermarket radio. A Shelby steering wheel would have a Shelby Snake in the center, but this steering wheel looks red.

(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) This is the right dash emblem for a 1969 Shelby GT-350.

(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Take a look at this Silver Jade 1969 Mustang convertible. It has the original 302ci engine, original C-4 Cruise-O-Matic transmission, power steering, and BFG Radial TA tires mounted on factory style magnum 500 wheels.

(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Silver Jade 1969 Mustang convertible, left rear view. This car has a black interior and black soft top.

(from page 1 of the 1969 Collection) Silver Jade 1969 Mustang convertible, right side view. Hey, that kind of looks like my house. Except mine is a lot smaller and not that fancy.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) A shot of the rear end. Mustang used the three vertical tail lights on each side with the gas cap in the center for years. This one has dual exhaust splitters exiting out the rear valance panel.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) A peek inside. This one has a perfect looking interior.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) There's the 302ci V8 engine. It's original to the car!

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) Trunk View! Not much room with the full size spare tire in here.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) The Vehicle Certification Tag is located on the rear end of the driver's side door. You can see it when the door is open. The VIN for this Mustang is in the upper left corner. Let's decode it! The 9 is for the 1969 model year. The R is for the San Jose, California assembly plant. The 03 is for the convertible body style. The F is for the optional 210hp 302ci V8 engine. The 127286 is for the sequential unit off the assembly line starting with 100000. You can decode it yourself with the help of our Data Explorer. The part of the Vehicle Certification tag at the bottom shows even more about what this car originally came with. Let's decode that line too! The BODY of 76 is for the convertible while the A is for the bucket seats. The COLOR of 4 is for the Silver Jade paint. The TRIM 2 is for standard vinyl bucket seats and the A is for the color of black. The DATE of 16 is for the 16th day of M the 12th (December) month. DSO of 72 is for the San Jose Domestic Special Order district code. They ordered the car originally. The AXLE of 3 is for the 2.79 gears. The TRANS of W is for the C-4 Automatic transmission.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) This beautiful Bright Yellow 1969 Boss 302 Mustang fastback is owned by Armond D'Agostini. The black side reflective stripe looks white in this photo but is actually black. This Boss 302 also has a blacked out hood, black front air dam and color matched mirrors.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) In this lighting Armond's Bright Yellow 1969 Boss 302 Mustang fastback the side stripes are black.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) Nicely done interior of Armond's 1969 Boss 302 Mustang fastback.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) Unlike many of the sports models the basic 1969 Boss 302 Mustang dash was very simple without extra gauges, although they could be added as an option.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) View of the 1969, Ford, Mustang, G-code, 302 cubic inch, 4 barrel, Boss V8 originally rated at 290hp (at 5800rpm).

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) Even the underside of this car looks great.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) Winter Blue 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with 360hp (at 5400rpm), 428 cubic inch, Super Cobra Jet V8 engine with Ram Air induction, a hardened steel cast crankshaft, special "LeMans" connection rods, and special balancing for drag racing. Hot Rod magazine called the Cobra Jet "the fastest running pure stock in the history of man." Only one engine was more powerful in 1969 and that was the 375hp (at 5200rpm), 429 cubic inch V8 engine for the Boss option. 1969 was the first and only early year the Mustang came with four headlights.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) Winter Blue 1969 Mach 1, rear end view.

(from page 2 of the 1969 Collection) Separate driver and passenger side dash cowls gave the 1969 Mustang interior an aircraft cockpit-look with clock centered in the passenger side dash. 1969 introduced the Rim Blow steering wheel option for $36 which allowed the horn to be activated by squeezing hard anywhere along the outer edge of the wheel. A soft rubber insert around the perimeter of the steering wheel had two strips of copper inside the rubber, held apart by two lips and connected to a switch. When squeezed the copper would touch and the switch would activate the horn. Ford soon discovered that many drivers squeezed the steering wheel harder while turning causing the dreaded accidental honking in turns. The rimblow steering wheel is definitely not a steering wheel to wrap in leather.
