(from page 3 of the 1974 Collection) Bright Red 1974 Mustang II coupe with a white interior, white wall tires, hub caps, and a 4-cylinder engine. The 1974 Mustang came in two shades of red. This one is the lighter of the two.

(from page 4 of the 1974 Collection) Bright Green Gold 1974 Mustang II hatchback sport wheels, fog lamps, body side color match molding, and 2.8L 2-barrel 6-cylinder engine. This car is a time capsule with only 20K miles on it. The only items replaced are the muffler, tires, plugs and filters.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) This shot shows the Mach-1 decal behind the front wheel better. The front and rear bumpers are also painted in the two-tone red over black paint.

(from page 5 of the 1974 Collection) Silver 1974 Mustang II coupe with black full vinyl roof, standard wheel covers, bodyside molding, and color keyed mirrors. The hood's a little faded but still this car is all original but the motor.

(from page 1 of the 1976 Collection) Bright Blue 1976 Mustang II with Ghia Luxury Group (half vinyl roof, hood striping, bodyside moldings, velour cloth interior color-keyed sun visors and headliner, and center console) and a 112hp (302ci, 5.0 liter, V8) under the hood. The Ghia Luxury Group was extensive enough in 1974 to 1981 that it became the fourth model number (04 for 1976) selling for $334 more than the standard notchback coupe (or two-door sedan). Ghia was a group of Italian designers which Ford acquired a controlling interest in 1970 who designed the Mustang II models which started in 1974.

(from page 1 of the 1976 Collection) Our first Attitude Of The Week for the new year and our 8000th Mustang photo on this site was this blue 1976 Cobra II Mustang owned by John of Median, Ohio. John writes: I bought my car brand new off the showroom floor in 1976. Originally it was white with blue stripes. My wife and I met because of this car. When I met her back in 1979, she had a black/gold Cobra II. I ended up keeping my Cobra all these years. Glad I did. The motor is a 302 rollerized crate motor, with a Weiand 177 supercharger, GT-40 Ford racing aluminum heads, 4150 series Holley supercharger carburetor, MSD distributor, Mallory ignition, Summit Racing noisy gears, Cobrajos chrome valve covers, TCI streetfighter tranny, and Be Cool crossflow aluminum radiator. All the mods to the engine were done within the last couple years. It must of been a mid life crisis that made me spend the money. ha ha. I should of done it years ago. It's a fun car to drive.

(from page 1 of the 1976 Collection) John's blue 1976 Custom Cobra II Mustang hatchback, right front view. Looks like another blown Mustang II behind it!

(from page 1 of the 1976 Collection) John sends us some updated shots of his 1976 Cobra hatchback. He's changed to a 363 CI stroker engine with over 500 HP, a custom shot gun hood scoop with snake eyes, and more described on the next photo! He upgraded the wheels and tires to Jegs 15-inch polished aluminum rims all around with M/T 235-60/R15 street radials on the rear and Toyo 185-60/15 on the front.
