Red 1983 Mustang GT hatchback owned by Kevin James. This is our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 28, 2013. Kevin tells us, "The nose has been painted red and the original paint has been buffed and polished. The wheels have been painted as well. The tires are 245 50 16 in the rear and 225 55 16 up front. I installed Tokico hp struts and shocks. The front end has '90 spindles and 11" brakes. The rear has an 8.8 from a '86 with 3.27 gears. It has new tubular upper and lower control arms with energy suspension bushings and without the rear isolators. The car sits 26" in the front and 26-5/8" in the rear. I have front seats from a 1990. New black carpet from late model restoration. The car stops so great now and the launches are firmer and the 3.27 gears get it out of the hole better."

His daughter was turning 16 and he was worried about her driving it, so he sold the car to me. These pictures were taken along the Niagara River about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls."

Black 1983 Mustang GT hatchback owned by Tim from Cleveland, Ohio. This is our featured
Attitude Of The Week for the week starting July 24, 2016. Tim tells us,
"I bought it in 1985 when I was 19. I drove it for several years, but then parked it in the mid '90's. About 7 years ago, my brother took the car out of my mom's garage to a local shop and got it running again. At that point, it was mostly stock except a few visual mods. For the first few years, that was okay but after awhile my son and I needed to amp up the performance aspect of the car. In May 2013 we took to removing the motor and trans. Over the course of the next year and a half, the top end was completely gone through including GT40 iron heads, a Comp 268H cam, perform roller rockers, and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. This year, the car got new 10th anniversary cobra rims and lowering springs. It's a riot to drive, and was a great project to work on."

"On the fence with restoration. This car is possessed, 1st car, tons of work, but fast and fun. I am just curious to know how rare this model is. I have never seen another 1983 Mustang GLX hatchback with a 5.0 and a 4-speed."
