Tropic Green 2001 Mustang convertible owned by Evelyn Morehead from Shelby North, Carolina. It has the 3.8L V6 engine and an automatic transmission. Check out the three ponies on the door. Evelyn tells us more, "I bought this 'stang in 2002 to replace my '93 Mercury Capri convertible. It has the pony leather interior, 6 CD radio with premium sound, and, to top it off-tan horses running down each side! The children at the elementary school where I taught loved this car! It has been in several parades. It has been treated better than I treat my husband. I don't think it has ever squalled tires or skidded-I have been very gentle. It has mainly brought a lot of fun as we cruised with the wind in our hair and sang along with many great songs on our killer sound system. The only reason I am selling it is that-after knee replacement-it's kind of tough to get in and out of. I had planned to keep it till it became a classic-but someone else will have to complete that plan!"

Oxford White 2001 Mustang GT coupe owned by BJ Rider from Sturgis, Michigan. It has the 4.6L V8 and an automatic transmission. BJ adds, "I bought the car in Chicago back five years ago. I put Cobra rims on it. The car has flowmasters on it. It has been in the garage since I bought it - never seen snow or rain since I have had it. It only has 29,000 miles on the car. Yah, you read that right - 29,000 miles. The car is a blast to drive and looks and sounds sweet."

Satin Silver 2002 Mustang GT coupe owned by Roger Miller from Norristown, Pennsylvania. Roger has this story to share, "I owned a Pontiac Grand Am prior to owning this Stang. My friend was heavy into the pony and I was around them so much that I decided to pick one up. I am now hooked. Nothing beats a muscle car (sound or power). This one was bone stock when I bought it. Now it has a BBK X-pipe, Flowmasters, BBK cold air intake, Diablo sport tuner, and a lot of exterior mods (as you can tell by the pictures)."

True Blue 2002 Mustang coupe owned by Steve Tapper from Reisterstown, Maryland. It has a 3.8 liter V6 engine and an automatic transmission. Steve tells us more, "I purchased this car in May 2008 from a used car dealer in Baltimore. The car had 75,000 miles on it. It had some minor body work issues but it was mechanically sound and a good candidate to use as both a daily driver and a car show entry. Over the past two years I have been upgrading this car both mechanically and cosmetically. On the mechanical side the radiator, transmission, power brake, and power steering systems have been flushed and treated with BG products. The brakes have been totally rebuilt with new rotors, calipers, and ceramic brake pads. New ball joints and tie rods have firmed up the front suspension and new Gabriel HD Shocks are on the back. The original faded headlights have been replaced with new triple beam halogen lights and an American Muscle cold air intake system has been added. A new Dyna Max cat back dual exhaust system gives this car a nice mellow growl. New American Muscle 5 spoke 16-inch Cobra R wheels now replace the mismatched wheels that came with the car. The windows have been tinted and the car has just come back from the body shop where the body work was repaired and a brand new factory OEM paint job has brought back the original True Blue color. I have purchased new silver side stripes from American Muscle and a new white faced gauge package which will be installed shortly. The car now gets admiring looks from everyone and appears at many local car shows. This will be my second year as an attendee at the Ford Nationals at Carlisle, PA where I will be part of the contingent representing the Mustang Club of Maryland, where I serve as the Club's Historian."

You couldn't get a Cobra in the United States back in 2002. Kevin Abrahamson built his own! Kevin explains, "I scored this 02 GT with 60K in 06 for $3200 needing collision repair. It had a 2-inch Eibach suspension lowering kit and a very rude Magnaflow exhaust system. Since I already had 2001 Cobra front and rear bumper covers as well as a 2001 Cobra hood, I decided to Cobra Clone it. I also attached the factory GT hood scoop to the Cobra hood to give it an individual look. There were minor bolt on upgrades to the motor and the rear differential and the transmission is a stock Tremec with Ford Motorsports clutch setup."
Kevin owns other Mustangs as well.

It's all stock has the Mach 1000 stereo system upgraded wheels 18x10 in the rear upgraded rotors and Saleen calipers. I mainly use it for car shows, cruise nights, and on nice sunny days. The car had basically been stored and pampered in a controlled environment for 12 years. Over the past 2 years I have driven the car and put nearly 10,000 miles on it. I have made a few modifications to improve power and overall handling performance; new Continental DW tires, full length sub-frame connectors, BBK 75mm throttle body, BBK full length ceramic headers, BBK H-pipe, Steeda rear lower control arms, Steeda rear shock tower brace, ACT lightened flywheel, and Exedy stage 2 clutch."

Here is Karen Baum making a pass in her Ebony Black 2003 Mustang GT on the Speed Channel show called Pass Time. This was our featured Attitude Of The Week for the week starting February 21, 2010. Karen tells us more, "I bought this car two years old and found out later she was a repo from Jersey. She was a little rough and only thing done to her was the exhaust (which I ended up fixing since it was poorly done). After doing the exhaust, I was told this car was too masculine for a girl to drive. That is when 'Nasty' would come to be. I think she is too much for a man to drive now;-). Nasty 03 is featured in the AmericanMuscle.com calendar for January 2010. Also appeared on the TV show 'Pass Time' which airs on Speed Channel. These are the modifications (which is hard to keep current!!). Currently over 40 between appearance and performance. Performance modifications include: custom 3-inch tipped catback, BBK ceramic longtube headers and off-road H-pipe, FRPP 3.73 gears, FRPP C-springs, Accufab 70mm throttlebody and plenum, MGW short shifter, clutch adjuster, Steeda underdrive pulleys, Steeda cold air intake, SLP Line-lock, driveshaft loops, subframe connectors, Brembo slotted rotors, 245/45-17 NITTO 555Rs in front, 325/45-17 M+H Racemasters in the back, and SCT XCal SF3 Tuner with custom tuning by SWARR Auto. Gotta look good too: 20% window tint, Xenon quarter window louvers, ABS rear window louver, black Shelby Torq Thrust M rims (17x8 in front, 17x10.5 deep dish in back), Smoked headlights and foglights, 8-inch black antenna, chrome billet scoop inserts, Mach 1 grille delete, painted Mach 1 chin spoiler, UAD skeleton grille pony emblem, UAD airbrushed flamed radiator cover, MGW underhood dress up, chrome strut and nut cap covers, UPR 2-tone interior knobs and coat hooks, FRPP Bullitt pedals, MRT billiard shift knob, red LED interior lighting, redline tuning hood struts, GT embroidered floor mats, polished shifter bezel, Saleen S281 wing, Web Electrics sequentials, and Kenwood DDX512 6.1-inch wide in-dash monitor with USB/iPod direct control/DVD

Zinc Yellow 2003 Mach 1 Mustang coupe owned by Robert VanAckooy from Hyde Park, New York. Robert tells us more, "I had someone do a search in May of 2009, and they found this Mach 1 in New Jersey with just over 8,000 miles. This was done through a service station/used car dealer where I have serviced my cars over the past two years. They went down to inspect the Mach 1 and brought it back for me. The car is mint. Like new inside and out. It was like getting a brand new Mach 1, but at a considerable savings. I put over 2,500 miles on the car from June to December. Now, it spends most of the winter in a garage - only coming out on days when the roads are clear of snow and salt. This is my second Mach 1. I had a 1973 Mach 1 when I was young."

Thomas adds, "I purchased this Boss convertible in the summer of 2010 from a dealership in Buffalo, New York. Sweet looking and sounding car. It is a legacy level #003 with approximately 55,300 miles on it. It still looks and runs beautiful. I added a cold air intake and angel eyes headlights. The originals also available."

Torch Red 2003 Mustang coupe owned by Dwayne and Judy McCracken from Washington, Missouri. Judy had this to share, "We bought this Mustang in 2005. It had 10,000 miles on it and had been a company car. My husband had an 86 GT and I always loved it(still do). I happened to see the 03 at a dealer and took it for a test drive. I'll never forget that thrill I got when it threw me back into the seat and held me there! I've loved that car ever since. It's got a V8 4.6 and a manual transmission. It's torch red and has two black GT stripes on the hood. I've kept it strictly stock and plan to keep it that way. No modifications, ever! It may look plain and to some simple but its simplicity is what I love about it. Make no mistake, even though it is unpretentious and perhaps too 'plain' for some, this is a machine to be reckoned with!"

Redfire 2004 Mustang GT convertible owned by Dan and Debby Heagy from Aberdeen, Maryland. Dan tells us more about his GT, "We searched on cars.com and found it at a Chevrolet Dealer in New Jersey. We watched it for about a month to see if the price would come down and it did. Out of 1500 Mustangs on the website we liked this one the most because of the low miles of 23,000 miles. We bought it last August on the 4th, its an 2004, I have Mustang club number 0004, and the last 6 digits are 221111 which add up to 4. It replaced a 98 GT Mustang that was totaled two and a half years ago. I'm currently the Vice President of the Mustang Club of Maryland. We attended the 45th Mustang Anniversary in Alabama and are looking for the 50th. I love driving with the top down on warm sunny days. I installed the Ford Racing suspension kit, BBK throttle body, MM strut tower brace, Mac prochamber exhaust, SSP loudmouth mufflers, and Ford Racing 373 gears."

Tim Davis owns this Black 2004 Mustang GT coupe. It has a 4.6L V8 and an automatic transmission. Tim shares, "I have always loved Mustangs all my life. When I finally came into the market of getting one, I search for 6 months to find the right one. I have always loved black Mustangs, so I waited for the right one to come along. I have always thought - among all of the many styles and models the 99-04 models looked good. I liked the body style. I finally ran accross the one I wanted and it was in pristine condition. I latched unto it and today it stays in the garage when I'm not out sporting it around and believe me it turns heads. I love my Mustang. My dream is to one own a classic 65-67 Shelby GT fastback."

I was deployed in 2009 and happened to see my Cobra on Carmax so I immediately called my wife to have her pick it up for me. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Redfire 2004 Mustang GT convertible owned by Diane Barrett from Denver, Colorado. It has the 4.6L V8 and a manual transmission. Diane shares, "In January of 2010 I had a dream that I bought a Red Mustang convertible. I told my husband about it, but we just laughed it off. In the mean time a dealership had been calling, emailing etc. my husband to come down and take a look at a Cobra that had just been traded in for a new Shelby GT500. He kept putting it off, and December went flying by, then most of January, till one day hubby got a call aging from the salesman that we deal with a lot. He told my husband that he really needed to come see the car, said it was unusual etc. Hubby decided to go see the car the next day after we had decided if it was what we had been looking for we would buy it. So the next morning about 11 am we show up at the dealer only to find that the car had been sold the night before to a soldier and he was leaving soon to go to Afghanistan. We were very disappointed, especially my
husband. The soldier had traded in his car, so we went to look at it. The car hadn't been cleaned prepped, or anything else. The car was RED, convertible, Mustang... just like in my dream. So the short story is; we bought the car. This is it!"
